Original cast members and special guests will revive the Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning Rent in a gala concert celebration for the show’s 30th anniversary.

RENT will return to the stage in a new Legacy Revival at Diversionary Theatre. The production begins previews May 21 and opens May 30. The reimagined staging highlights themes of chosen family, love, and resilience.

EPIC Players will present RENT in New York City with a neurodiverse cast. The production will run at A.R.T./New York Theatres and include accessibility accommodations for audiences. The musical will be directed by Travis Burbee.

BroadwayWorld has learned that a live concert performance of Rent will be taking place this year! The concert will feature RENT’s original musical director, Tim Weil, on the keys, with the original Rent band.

San Francisco Playhouse has revealed its 24th season, which will be presented August 2026 to September 2027. The season will feature three musicals and four plays.

Prime Stage Theatre will present its world premiere adaptation of Laurie Halse Anderson's novel SPEAK, running May 1-10, 2026 at New Hazlett Theater in Pittsburgh, with Anderson attending a post-show discussion on May 2.
