Musical Theatre Factory has announced complete casting for TROY ANTHONY AND FRIENDS, a one night only evening of celebration, affirmation and liberation in concert on Sunday March 1, 2020, at 7pm. Featuring the work of Troy Anthony (The River is Me, Dark Girl Chronicles, Antioch Mass) in his Joe's Pub debut sung by a 12 piece all POC choir and additional guest performers, alongside the work of collaborators Sukari Jones and Nia Witherspoon, Troy will also be joined be special guest artists representing the Musical Theatre Factory POC Roundtable - Rona Siddiqui, Michelle J. Rodriguez, Jerome Ellis, and Kirya Traber & Sissi Liu - in a powerful evening of song!

Rehearsals have begun for Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express, on stage March 6 through 15. This 'classic whodunit' takes audiences on a fast paced thrill ride with a train full of suspects, and each one with an alibi! There are twists and turns aplenty in this intrigue-filled story, newly adapted for the stage from Agatha Christie's masterpiece by two-time Tony-nominated playwright Ken Ludwig. This unforgettable mystery takes audiences on a thrilling ride - Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of the year, but by the morning it is one passenger fewer. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed a dozen times, his door locked from the inside. Isolated and with a killer in their midst, detective Hercule Poirot must identify the murderer - in case he or she decides to strike again.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - the new intimate concert venue dubbed Broadway's 'off-night hotspot' by The New York Times - has announced that Broadway's Eden Espinosa (Wicked, Rent, Falsettos) will extend her acclaimed solo residency 'Unplugged & Unplanned' for three more shows due to popular demand. Originally scheduled to run through Friday, February 28, performances have been added on Friday, March 6 at 9:30 PM; Sunday, March 15 at 7:00 PM; and Sunday, March 22 at 9:30 PM. Inspired by the energy of the new decade, Espinosa is shaking things up to try something she's never done before: a laid-back evening of intimate dialogue, taking requests, special guests, spontaneous moments and off-the-cuff stories. Featuring selections from both of her albums, Broadway hits, pop covers, songs she's never sung before and more, 'Unplugged & Unplanned' delivers a different experience at every performance.

Farmers Alley Theatre is honoring the life of one of America's greatest playwrights, Neil Simon, with his Pulitzer Prize Winning masterwork, Lost in Yonkers, running March 13-29.  Farmers Alley Theatre is also pleased to announce that thanks in large part to several local organizations, we will be reinstating our Student Ticket Initiative for this production, which provided free student tickets to those who wish to attend the show (subject to availability).

Following a successful run at HOME, Manchester, Switchflicker Productions today announce the London première and UK tour of Chanje Kunda's Plant Fetish. Darren Pritchard directs Chanje Kunda in this one woman show. The production opens as part of the 2020 Vault Festival from 21-22 March, with previews at Oldham Coliseum on 10 March, before touring to Hull Truck Theatre, Bury MET, Salisbury Playhouse, Bernie Grants Arts Centre, and Pound Arts, concluding its run at The Holbeck on 28 June.

This spring, SoHo Playhouse Inc. (Darren Lee Cole producing artistic director) and F.C.C. (Flow, Create and Connect) will present Wild Dogs Under My Skirt, the award-winning play by Samoan poet Tusiata Avia and directed by Anapela Polata'ivao. Wild Dogs Under My Skirt plays a limited six-week engagement April 16 - May 24 at SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street, NYC). The official opening is Thursday, April 30 at 7:30PM. PAWS/LA, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit agency serving people and pets in need, will present a one night only benefit event - Barrett Foa Has Friends! - on Monday, February 24, at 8pm. Yesterday, Playbill broke the news that the critically acclaimed graphic novel THE PRINCE AND THE DRESSMAKER by Jen Wang will be the next project for husband-wife team Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who previously worked together on the music for Disney's Frozen, Coco, and Frozen 2. Robert is a two-time EGOT winner -- he is the youngest to win the award, to have won it in the shortest amount of time, and to have won it more than once. He broken out with his work co-writing Avenue Q and The Book of Mormon.

Beigel's Bakery, which has made more than 100 million black-and-white cookies since opening their first store in 1949, is pairing up with a new Off-Broadway play A BLACK AND WHITE COOKIE, a provocative new drama about racial harmony, which will run at the Theater for the New City March 26 - April 12. The pairing comes about as New York is battling surging anti-Semitism. The famed bagel maker will be sponsoring the show by handing out hundreds of their signature black and white cookies in an effort to raise visibility of the timely new show and its important and unifying subject matter.

The Chicagoland premiere of Almost Heaven: John Denver's America opened Sunday night February 16 to an enthusiastic crowd. Theatre at the Center Artistic Director Linda Fortunato cast Shannon McEldowney, Steven Romero Schaeffer, Andrew Mueller, Sara Geist and Tommy Malouf in the musical revue Almost Heaven: John Denver's America to kick off its 30th Anniversary Season. The cast was joined on stage by musicians William Underwood, Malcolm Ruhl and Alison Tatum. Fortunato is the director and William Underwood is the music director. The now Jeff Recommended production continues through March 22.

Complete casting has been announced for a VIP Reading of Joe Gulla's 'REEL WOOD' directed by Christopher Scott (God Shows Up). This special reading will take place at NYC's Greenwich Village Iconic Gay Bar and Historic Landmark, The Stonewall Inn on March 15, 2020 at 7pm. The Stonewall Inn is best known for being the scene of the 1969 raid and riots that catalyzed the modern LGBTQ rights movement.

Grand Blvd, on the day of each performance only, two hours prior to the show. The $24 tickets are limited to two tickets per person.

'We found our audiences really loved the intimacy of our productions, as they did with our musical, Rent', stated Foster. No other theatre in Central New York gives such an immersive experience to an audience the way Redhouse can, and we want to continue experimenting with our spaces for the 20/21 season', he concluded.
