This season, 46th Street will join these special ranks when the new musical Warriors moves into the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Warriors, with book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis, moves in across the street from Hamilton in its long-time home at the Richard Rodgers. Hamilton, with book, music, and lyrics by Miranda, already has a history of inspiring block party vibes on 46th Street with Ham4Ham, their in-person lottery turned pop-up concert event. Will there be a crossover lottery event for both shows? Perhaps Warriors will be the Lunt-Fontanne show to finally reopen the theater’s long-dormant retractable rooftop and wave to their neighbors? 

Golden Globe Award Winner and Academy Award, Tony Award, Sag Award, and Emmy Award Nominee Taraji P. Henson will receive a Sardi’s Portrait to celebrate her Broadway debut in August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone.

Peter Pan is famous for never growing up and bringing Wendy and her brothers to Neverland to stop the ruthless Captain Hook. In Peter Pan and Mary, we go back many years and meet Mary, Wendy’s mother. Hope Lowry, as Peter Pan, portrayed this well-loved character as confident and adventurous, and maybe a tad self-centered. Mary, played by Rory Fogle, was as adventurous and confident as Peter Pan. This self-proclaimed Pirate expert was perfect to bring back to Neverland to defeat the evil pirate, Captain Barbecue, played by Caryn Darrow. Darrow was evil, manipulative, and cunning in this role. Without giving too much away, Mark Tauzin’s portrayal of Jimmy was excellent as he showed the evolution of this character.

Andrew Lloyd Webber has teased his next project, a new musical about the theft of the Mona Lisa. In a recent interview with Frank DiLella, Webber revealed that he will begin writing the musical, which is based on a true story, soon.

The Minnesota Orchestra will present Bluebeard’s Castle under Thomas Søndergård. The performances launch the Sound Unbound series. Concerts will take place at Orchestra Hall.
