This Spotlight focuses on Simon Levy who began his directing career in San Francisco, then moved to Los Angeles in 1990 where he has been the Producing Director for the Fountain Theatre since 1993. His directing and producing credits are numerous, with over 100 productions in Los Angeles and San Francisco that have won more than 200 awards. His journey has been blessed with having wonderful mentors along the way, which has enabled the talented director to earn his living doing theatre and earned him great respect from the entire L.A. Theatre community.

The McCallum Theatre announced today its new lineup for the 2020-2021 season, with an exciting schedule of world-class artistry that has been the Theatre's hallmark for more than three decades. The new season includes an assortment of McCallum debuts, along with iconic superstars, long-awaited return visits from show business royalty, plus a robust comedy lineup and an impressive array of Broadway's most cherished, long-running shows.

The Actors Fund has teamed with SiriusXM Broadway host Seth Rudetsky and his husband, producer James Wesley, to produce a daily mini-online show, entitled Stars in The House, featuring stars of stage and screen singing and performing live (from home!) on social media to promote support for The Fund's services.

Lately, my favorite thing to do has been to experience new theatre that Michigan has to offer and while the Detroit Repertory Theatre is not a a?oenewa?? theatre, The Puppeteer playing until March 15th, was my first time attending that theatre. Desireé York's play spans across time from the Harlem Renaissance to present day, where women in one family cut racism's strings and sing their own song. I was captivated by the entire show, especially with Indigo Colbert's stunning performance as the lead who transforms her character through every decade absolutely flawlessly and seamlessly. It's a touching show that moves you and makes you think while experiencing it at this gorgeous theatre in the Detroit area. The Puppeteer is a standout piece of Michigan theatre.

HAVING OUR SAY is a staged memoir of the Delany Sisters, two women who experienced the Civil Rights Movement and lived to be over 100 years old and tell the tale. This quiet, comfortable play invites the audience to the sister's home as they prepare a meal on stage and recount their extraordinary lives.

On Tuesday, March 31 (8 pm), JACK Quartet joins forces with the intrepid teen musicians of Face the Music to perform a progam titled Critical Mass, featuring world premieres by three early-career composers - inti figgis-vizueta, Elliot Reed, and Olivia Shortt - from the inaugural JACK Studio commissioning project. The concert will take place at Roulette, 509 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. Tickets are $15 online or $20 at the door, available in advance at roulette.org.

REELZ today announced new programming for March 2020 with three new original specials, five new episodes of returning original series Autopsy: The Last Hours of... , the U.S. premiere of documentary ABBA: Secrets of Their Greatest Hits and the REELZ premiere of Dolly Parton: Here She Comes Again! Every Sunday in March a new episode of Autopsy: The Last Hours of... premieres celebrating the lives and examining the untimely deaths of celebrities including disco sensation Andy Gibb, Diff'rent Strokes star Dana Plato, WWE champion Chris Benoit, Academy Award(R) winning actress Audrey Hepburn and country music legend Glen Campbell. Natalie Morales hosts two new original Behind Closed Doors specials about hit family sitcom The Facts of Life and romantic comedy Pretty Woman which marks its 30th anniversary since hitting the big screen in March 1990. New original special House of Horrors: The Friends Speak explores the Turpin family nightmare in which 13 children were abused by their parents for decades.

Oxygen, the destination for high-quality crime programming, kicks off a new season of its highest rated series 'Cold Justice' on Saturday, March 14 at 6 pm ET/PT. Working alongside local law enforcement from across the country, the 'Cold Justice' team has successfully helped bring about 20 convictions and 45 arrests, five of the arrests which will be seen in this upcoming batch of new episodes. The romantic comedy Grumpy Old Men first came to life as a film in 1993 starring Jack Lemon, Walter Matthau, and Ann-Margret. With book by Dan Remmes, music by Neil Berg, and lyrics by Nick Meglin, Grumpy Old Men was adapted to the stage as a musical described by critics as 'unconventional but sincerely sweet' (Leo Buck at buckingtrends.me). Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre takes on this delightful story of friendship and love February 20-March 28. Miranda Jane plays the role of Ariel, Max and John's beautiful and eccentric neighbor.

Helen Forrester, the author who spawned a genre of gritty, working-class memoir with her book, Twopence To Cross The Mersey, is to be honoured with a blue plaque as part of her 100th birthday celebrations. The unveiling will take place on Friday 21st February at her childhood home in Hoylake on the Wirral Peninsula.

Centenary Stage Company and Centenary University's all student NEXTstage Repertory presents Jose Rivera's Marisol. The production opens Thursday, February 6th, will run through Monday, February 10th and will take place in the Little Theatre located at 400 Jefferson Street Hackettstown, NJ on the campus of Centenary University.

This year, the owners of The Montalbán, Ricardo's son in law and President of The Montalbán Company, LLC, Gilbert Smith, and daughter Anita, have plans to expand the theatre's musical performances, beginning with The Company Men on February 21 and 22; and The Soul of Broadway Starring Terron Brooks on February 28 and 29.

Birth of a Ho' Ass Nation is back at Planet Ant! Now entering it's 3rd year this one man comedy has been refined into a tight fast paced 45 minute comedic juggernaut in preparation for a soon to be released part 2.
