TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced its 52nd season, featuring six plays and musicals to be presented November 2022 through August 2023. Three of the season's productions will be mounted at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, and three will be staged at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. Casting has been announced for PrideArts season opening production - the Chicago premiere of the musical GIRLFRIEND, by Todd Almond and Matthew Sweet, based on Sweet’s album of the same name. GIRLFRIEND will open to the press on Monday, August 29, 2022, following previews from August 25-28, and will play through September 25th.

Diversionary Theatre has announced its 2022/2023 season: the legacy revival The Mystery of Irma Vep (December 2022), by Charles Ludlam and directed by Matt M. Morrow; the American Premiere of The High Table (February/March 2023), by Temi Wilkey, directed by Bibi Mama; and more.

Tony, Grammy, Emmy, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer, Tom Kitt, will present two special encore performances of his new solo concert, Reflections, on Monday, July 18, and Tuesday, July 26, at Feinstein’s/54 Below (254 West 54th St), returning to the venue after a sold-out performance of the same show in May 2022.

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company,announces the regional premiere production of the 2009 rock musical “Green Day's American Idiot.”  Directed by James Michael McHale,  choreographed by Miguel Cardenas, and with music direction by Gabrielle Maldonado, “Green Day's American Idiot” runs July 15 to August 14 on the Cripe Stage of the Bette Aitken theater arts Center. Previews are July 15 to 22 and regular performances are July 23 to August 14.

Signature Theatre has extended the world premiere of Samuel D. Hunter’s A Case for the Existence of God, directed by David Cromer (Tony Award-winner, The Band’s Visit) to May 29. The production, which opened on May 2, is running on The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W 42nd St).

A new play about the decades-long, tempestuous friendship between Dorothy Parker and Robert Benchley will receive an industry reading on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

New York Stage and Film, will return July 9-August 7 for five weeks of in-person programming in Poughkeepsie for their 2022 Summer Season.
