Matrix Theatre Company opens its 2022-2023 Mainstage Season with, Swimming While Drowning by local playwright Emilio Rodriguez, opening December 2 and running through December 17.

Continuing its season theme of Titles & Revivals, Dundee Rep has announced the cast for its new musical re-telling of Cinderella, a bold new adaptation premiering on 26 November.

Two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage and director Kate Whoriskey will bring their latest Broadway triumph, “Clyde’s,” a co-production with Goodman Theatre in Chicago to the Mark Taper Forum November 15 to December 18. It recently concluded the Goodman engagement.

The Florida Repertory Theatre in Fort Myers, Florida  (Greg Longenhagen, Producing Artistic Director) was one of the victims of the category 4 Hurricane Ian that made landfall on September 28. Major damage was done to the professional, producing, non-profit LOA/LORT theatre company with waist-high surge waters that filled first-floor facilities. Once the water receded, a thick layer of mud along with water-logged carpets, furniture, and equipment was left behind. All staff and guest artists are safe; however, the company is mourning the loss of a long-term volunteer who died when her home on Fort Myers Beach was swept away.

Florida Repertory Theatre has suffered flooding due to Hurricane Ian, which caused damage to its equipment, furniture, carpet, and more. A cleanup effort is currently underway but the 'cost to repair is daunting', according to Tweets.

The Millbrook Playhouse production of The Great American Trailer Park Musical, music and lyrics by David Nehls with a book by Betsy Kelso, will run on the Ryan Main Stage from October 14 through the 22, 2022. 

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' Broadway Center Stage production of Guys and Dolls, is running now through October 16. National Alliance for Musical Theatre has announced additional casting for their 34th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which returns in person and takes place on Thursday, October 20 and Friday, October 21, 2022 at New World Stages.

The Centre for the Less Good Idea has announced a new season of live performances from 26 - 30 October 2022. Featuring 19 multidisciplinary artists from all over South Africa, and a 36 member choir, who have worked  these past 6 months under the guidance of co-curators Mandla Mbothwe and Athena Mazarakis, the Season promises an outstanding  programme of diverse work over 5days at the Centre’s home at Arts on Main in the Maboneng Precinct. 

Surrey-based professional theatre company LynchPin Productions has announced it will be staging the European premiere of the award-winning play Apples in Winter by Jennifer Fawcett at The Playground Theatre, London, from 5-15 October 2022 (Press Night: 6 October).

In bold and brave choreographer Rhiannon Faith's newly staged show DROWNTOWN, six strangers, weighed down by individual darkness, come to a deprived coastal land. Seemingly abandoned, there is no one to help but themselves.

Axis Theatre Company will present the return of Washington Square, a contemporary take on Henry James’s novel. Adapted and directed by Randy Sharp, the production features original music by Paul Carbonara, a cast of four, and is performed in the heart of Greenwich Village, a few blocks from the story’s 19th-century setting.

The highly anticipated series “RuPaul’s Drag Race UK” is returning to WOW Presents Plus and World of Wonder has now Ru-vealed the next set of fabulous drag queens. Marking the beginning of their 2022-23 Season, titled BEGIN IT, West Seattle's own ArtsWest will present the Seattle Premiere of Emilio Rodriguez's SWIMMING WHILE DROWNING, running September 29th through October 23rd.
