Florida Repertory Theatre's season opener, 'Always...Patsy Cline' is now playing in the ArtStage Studio Theatre, and audiences who get decked out in their 'western wear' will receive a $5 Off coupon for their next ticket to any production in the theatre's 2019-2020 line-up. Complete casting has been announced today for the holiday masterpiece, A Christmas Carol, coming to Broadway this holiday season for eight weeks only, following critically acclaimed runs at The Old Vic, London. Two visionary talents, playwright Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and director Matthew Warchus (Matilda The Musical), offer a magical new interpretation of Charles Dickens' classic story. Beginning previews on Thursday, November 7 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street), with the opening night set for Wednesday, November 20, A Christmas Carol will play a strictly limited engagement through Sunday, January 5, 2020 only.

The Hollywood Film Awards announced today that actor, comedian, writer and podcaster Rob Riggle, who has brought to life some of the most memorable and outrageous characters in films such as “Night School,” “21 Jump Street,” “The Other Guys” and “Step Brothers,” and received acclaim for his dramatic turns in “12 Strong” and “Midnight Sun,” will host the 23rd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards.”  Considered the official launch of the awards season®, this year's ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA.

Cult classic The Rocky Horror Show will make its long-awaited return to the Omaha Community Playhouse (OCP) when it opens on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019. The show will run in the Howard Drew Theatre from Oct. 4 through Nov. 10. Performances will be held Thursdays through Sundays. New York's leading LGBTQ film festival, NewFest, has announced the full lineup of their 31st annual celebration of the year's best LGBTQ films from around the world. As announced earlier this week, the festival will kick off the festival's 31st edition with the New York premiere of Mike Doyle's Manhattan-set ensemble rom-com SELL BY, featuring an eclectic cast including Scott Evans (Netflix's “Grace and Frankie”), Kate Walsh (ABC's “Grey's Anatomy”), Academy Award-nominee and Emmy Award-winner Patricia Clarkson, Michelle Buteau (Netflix's “Tales of the City”) and Augustus Prew (HIGH-RISE), and will close the festival with the New York premiere of Rodrigo Bellott's award-winning film TU ME MANQUES, which was recently announced as Bolivia's submission for Best International Feature Film selection for the 2019 Academy Awards. 

Richmond Triangle Players celebrates the greatest cult musical of all time with its production of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show, in a strictly limited run, opening Friday October 18, 2019, at 8 pm, following one low-priced preview on Thursday, October 17 at 8 pm. The production will run just eleven performances, through October 26.

Following a highly acclaimed tour in 2018, The Original Theatre Company and The Anthology Group in association with Peter Stickney and York Theatre Royal's production of Alan Bennett's THE HABIT OF ART will return and tour the UK in 2020. Directed by Philip Franks and starring Matthew Kelly as Fitz (W. H. Auden) and David Yelland as Henry (Benjamin Britten). The tour begins on 18 March 2020 at Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne.

Ghosts and ghouls, witching hour approaches. Teddy Sourias and Craft Concepts Group - the creators of Philadelphia's Christmas Pop-up Bar - announces the opening of Nightmare Before Tinsel. Philadelphia's Halloween Pop-up Bar will take over the 100+ former jewelry store space at 116 S. 12th Street in Midtown Village. Among the ghosts that still haunt the space - including the ghosts of Tinsel's past - look for eerie ambiance, scary photo opps, witches bru cocktails, seasonal fall beers, costumed bartenders, and tons of frights and flights. Inside the new Halloween pop-up bar, look for a room of 1,001 eyes, fights inspired by Poe's Nevermore, a haunted coffin, zombie wall, custom retro ghost bar, giant spider web alley and more - plus of course lots of ghosts, ghouls, goblins, witches and spectres.
