Michael Ball makes his West End debut as a producer after falling in love with the enchanting new British musical, Love Story.

Now following a critically acclaimed sell-out season at the Chichester Festival Theatre, Love Story transfers to the West End for a limited season from 27 November 2010 Ė 26 February 2011.

Inspired by Erich Segalís best-selling iconic novel and one of the most romantic films of all time, this life-affirming musical is scored by the Emmy and BAFTA award winning composer Howard Goodall with lyrics by Stephen Clark.

Oliver Barrett IV went to Harvard and Jenny Cavilleri to Radcliffe. He was rich, she was poor. He was sporty, she played music. But they fell in love. This is their story. A celebration of love and life, Love Story will win your heart. And it might just break it.

BWW Review: The Ordway's Swell Production of ANNIE Will Leave You Feeling Optimistic About Our Female Future
by Jill Schafer - Dec 14, 2017

'The future is female.' If the main stage at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts is any judge of it, this statement is true, and gives one hope for the future. The story of one 11-year-old girl who changes hearts and minds with optimism and determination is an inspiring one, as is the boundless energy and talent of the young females on stage who bring this story to life. Watching ANNIE last weekend, I couldn't help but feel nostalgic for the Great Depression, when at least the president cared about the people and developed (with Annie's help of course) a New Deal that would help lift the country out of poverty. A stark contrast to today's reality, when the current resident of the White House seems to care only for the rich, and those in need get served newly crappy deals nearly every day. Maybe we need to send Annie to the Washington to get Democrats and Republicans singing together about the hopeful future of America! In the meantime, head to the Ordway to see this swell production of an American musical theater classic and get your dose of optimism about our female future. (more...)

BWW Review: MR. SHI AND HIS LOVER Croons at the Intersection of Musical and Opera
by Taylor Long - Dec 10, 2017

MR. SHI AND HIS LOVER, a new take on an old Love Story, manipulates perception in a tale of perception manipulation. Through seven non-linear scenes, performed in Mandarin with Chinese and English surtitles, MR. SHI AND HIS LOVER integrates a mix of introspective arias and narrative songs. The themes and boundaries of love are explored in an exploration of music that is difficult to pin down. Is it an opera? Or is it more of a musical? (more...)
