The Marsh San Francisco will kick off the New Year with Poetic Justice, taking a deep dive into the true lives of three distinguished writers. Carnegie Hall celebrates the start of its 2022–2023 season with an Opening Night Gala concert on Thursday, September 29 at 7:00 p.m. featuring The Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. Acclaimed pianist Daniil Trifonov is the soloist for this special evening, performing Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 1. Also on the program is Ravel's La valse, Gabriela Lena Frank's “Chasqui” from Leyendas: An Andean Walkabout, and Dvořák's Symphony No. 8 rounding out the festive evening.

The 25th anniversary celebration of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella will feature members of its all-star cast – Brandy, Whoopi Goldberg, Paolo Montalban, Victor Garber, Bernadette Peters, Jason Alexander and Veanne Cox. Following the news special, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella for the first time on television in more than two decades.

ABC News Studios will air “Cinderella: The Reunion, A Special Edition of 20/20” featuring members of its all-star cast — Brandy, Whoopi Goldberg, Paolo Montalban, Victor Garber, Bernadette Peters, Jason Alexander and Veanne Cox. Billy Porter, Todrick Hall, Debra Martin Chase, Neil Meron, and costumer Ellen Mirojnick will also make appearances.

Prior to writing his Pulitzer-winning musical RENT, Larson penned tick, tick...BOOM! as an autobiographical rock 'n roll musical, which he subsequently performed around New York City. tick, tick...BOOM! will be presented by Bohemian Theatricals September 2-17, 2022 at Ground Floor Theatre.

The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization has released the first of a new series of videos celebrating the 80th anniversary of Rodgers & Hammerstein. Featuring audio from rarely heard interviews with Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II – each describing how they first joined forces –  the video can be viewed below! In A Promising Partnership, the organization explores the beginning of the legendary collaboration.

What did our critic think of Ragtime at Theatre Memphis? RAGTIME is a gargantuan production. It's epic in scope and expectations. Any community theatre attempting to find a way to match the scale and scope of Broadway or a national tour is in dangerous waters.
