As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Roundabout Theatre Company will conclude its critically acclaimed spring production of Kiss Me, Kate, directed by Scott Ellis, choreographed by Warren Carlyle with music direction by Paul Gemignani, after 30 preview performances and 125 regular performances. Before the cast takes their final bows, we're flashing back through its journey on Broadway!

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Richard Kind will return to Roundabout's stage, following his Tony Award-nominated and Drama Desk Award-winning performance in The Big Knife, in Kiss Me, Kate. Kind will reprise the role of "Second Man," which he played in Roundabout's 2016 benefit concert reading of Kiss Me, Kate.

Cole Porter's musical comedy Kiss Me, Kate - 2019 Broadway Cast Recording is available for digital download and streaming starting today, Friday, June 7.

Ghostlight Records has announced it will record a new cast album of Cole Porter's musical comedy Kiss Me, Kate, based on the current hit production from the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO). The show is directed by Scott Ellis, choreographed by Warren Carlyle with music direction by Paul Gemignani and features a book by Sam and Bella Spewack, and music and lyrics by Cole Porter. Kiss Me, Kate marks the 24th cast album recording for Roundabout Theatre Company, since launching the musical theatre program with She Loves Me in 1993. The album, produced by Kurt Deutsch and Lawrence Manchester, will be recorded Monday, April 22.

SAG-AFTRA Foundation and BroadwayWorld have partnered for a filmed Conversations Q&A series to recognize and celebrate the vibrant theatre community in New York City and the actors who aspire to have a career on the stage and screen. The series is hosted by BroadwayWorld's own Richard Ridge.

It's been almost twenty years since the last rival of Kiss, Me Kate opened on Broadway, and yet, theatregoers can get a quick glimpse of the last incarnation on the Studio 54 stage today. Roundabout just revealed that costume designer Jeff Mashie included a hat worn by the late Marin Mazzie, in his design for Kelli O'Hara. Mazzie played the role 'Kate/Lilli Vanessi, in 1999.
