It's been almost twenty years since the last rival of Kiss, Me Kate opened on Broadway, and yet, theatregoers can get a quick glimpse of the last incarnation on the Studio 54 stage today. Roundabout just revealed that costume designer Jeff Mashie included a hat worn by the late Marin Mazzie in his design for Kelli O'Hara. Mazzie played the role "Kate/Lilli Vanessi in 1999.

We absolutely love @kelliohara's entrance look in #KissMeKate! Completing this costume is the hat that Marin Mazzie wore in the 1999 revival. "The light comes behind her, and it was very obvious. It was one of those moments when you knew. She made that entrance and it's like, 'OK. She gets the hat.'" - Costume Designer @jeffmahshie ------ ?: @joanmarcus #theatre #broadway #costumedesign #kelliohara #marinmazzie
