This sweeping and stirring musical masterpiece paints a portrait of America at the dawn of the twentieth century, interweaving the lives of three families—an African American family, a Jewish Immigrant family, and a wealthy white family—finding their places and pursuing the American Dream in a rapidly changing world. Featuring a Tony Award-winning book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Terrence McNally (Master Class, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink) and a Tony Award-winning score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Once on This Island, Anastasia, Seussical The Musical), this musical is based on E. L. Doctorow’s best-selling novel of the same name. Ragtime will be presented June 1-26, 2022 (press opening: June 4) at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. MCC Theater announced today an extension for the digital broadcast of Miscast22. Originally scheduled to conclude streaming tomorrow, May 25, the broadcast will now be available via Broadway Unlocked through Saturday May 28, 2022 at 11:59pm ET.  

Theatre Royal Stratford East today announces its 2022/23 season. The season includes Anthony Neilson's poignant and comical delve into the nature of mental illness, The Wonderful World of Dissocia, directed by Emma Baggott, which opens in September 2022.

Ahead of the May 13 release of their new Nonesuch album, Dropout Boogie, The Black Keys have announced two high-profile events to celebrate the project. National Sawdust and Paola Prestini and Chelsea Factory have announced the first companies to take the stage in the organizations’ programmatic partnership. Grammy-winning composer and pianist Arturo O’Farrilland his Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra with special guest Emeline Michel take over the landmarked site June 16-17.
