I Love Lucy Live on Stage - US Tour

I LOVE LUCY LIVE ON STAGE is the brand-new hit stage show adapted from the most beloved program in television history! America's favorite foursome- Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel- is live on stage and in color for the very first time!

It's 1952 and you are a member of the studio audience awaiting the filming of two hilarious and oh-so-familiar I LOVE LUCY episodes. Imagine stepping back in time onto the Desilu Playhouse soundstage where a charming host entertains and enlightens you to the behind-the-scenes filming process, the 1950s hi-fidelity technology and this brand-new thing called "television." The episodes begin and you witness, firsthand, the side-splitting antics of that crazy redhead in the Ricardo's New York apartment and thrill to the Cuban sounds of "The Ricky Ricardo Orchestra" at the famed Tropicana Nightclub. In-between scenes? The Crystaltone Singers perform live advertising jingles of the show's newest sponsors in perfect 50s style harmony. Can you say "Brylcreem?!"

L.A. Examiners Ron Irwin says I LOVE LUCY LIVE ON STAGE is "an absolutely brilliant and utterly engaging tribute to that iconic television show!"

TV Guide's William Keck calls it, 'the most entertaining stage production I've seen in years – including Broadway!"

The truth is in the title- whether young or old, everybody really does LOVE LUCY!

I LOVE LUCY - LIVE ON STAGE is probably best suited for audiences that already consider themselves Lucy fans. While those who aren't necessarily fans will likely still enjoy the show, I don't think that they will appreciate this production nearly as much as if they grew up with Lucy and Desi coming into their living rooms once a week.

When I was growing up, I Love Lucy was a morning television staple, even though it had been off the air for many years. Reality shows have since replaced pretty much all of the stuff I grew up on, at least on the major networks, but you can still find the re-runs on stations like Me TV, which cater to the boomer generation with their lineup of classic programs. If you were lucky enough to be at the Peabody Opera House this weekend (April 17-19, 2015), you had the opportunity to see a recreation of two episodes of this iconic show with their presentation of I LOVE LUCY LIVE ON STAGE. This touring production is one you should definitely check out if you're into nostalgia, or just need a good laugh.
