Hell's Kitchen - US Tour Articles Page 2

The North American Tour of HELL'S KITCHEN, the Broadway musical from 17-time Grammy Award winner, Alicia Keys, will premiere in Hartford at The Bushnell.

I’ve loved the music of 17-time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys for more than two decades, but the award-winning musical Hell’s Kitchen gave her songs new meaning and possibilities. After opening on Broadway in April 2024, the musical ran for nearly two years at the Shubert Theatre, playing 767 regular performances and 23 previews before closing in February 2026. Now, the musical is hitting the road, bringing Keys’ music and a story inspired by her own upbringing in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen to audiences across North America.

Broadway favorite Kennedy Caughell is stepping into the spotlight with her debut solo album, Just the Beginning — and she joins The Roundtable with Robert Bannon to talk all about it! Kennedy joins Robert for a conversation about finally creating an album of her own, choosing songs that tell her story, the Broadway roles that have shaped her, collaborating with an incredible team of musicians and artists, life on the road with Hell’s Kitchen, and why — after everything she has already accomplished — this really is just the beginning. Watch in this video!

Step into the concrete jungle where dreams are made of! Broadway Sacramento’s newest tour is aptly titled for our Sacramento summers, and Hell’s Kitchen is heating up the stage. This coming-of-age musical features the music and lyrics of Alicia Keys and is overflowing with enough heart, soul, and energy to light up Times Square. This two-time Tony Award-winning jukebox musical is much more than just familiar hits. It’s an inspiring, semi-autobiographical story about family, first love, and finding your voice, all wrapped up in one electrifying evening of theatre.

Alicia Keys can write the hell out of a song. Her catalog has been the soundtrack to heartbreaks and first loves for more than two decades. Hell's Kitchen, the Grammy winner's semi-autobiographical musical now at the Paramount Theatre, is a welcome reminder of just how singular her music really is. The R&B musical may stumble as a coming-of-age drama, but as a celebration of Keys' artistry, it's, well, on fire.

Based on the life story of Alicia Keys, Hell's Kitchen not only brings you all of the hits, I mean all of these hits, but takes you into Alicia's world before it even starts. The tone is set by the cipher-ish DJ set (Alicia's playlist growing up, maybe?), reminiscent of 106& Park, Rap City, Digital Underground, and artists on the street corner inviting you into a melodic flow of New York (many of us grew up on IYKYK).
