New Jewish Theatre has released first look footage of PRAYER FOR THE FRENCH REPUBLIC, Joshua Harmon's Drama Desk Award-winning play now playing through May 3, 2026 at the Wool Studio Theatre at the St. Louis Jewish Community Center.

Rebekah Scallet has once again brought St. Louis audiences a newer work to the NJT Wool Studio Stage with resounding success. Her production of Prayer for the French Republic is a gripping story with cataclysmic force. The Salomon and Benhamou Families face paralyzing fear steeped in the long history of Jewish persecution expertly captured by a gifted powerhouse acting ensemble. This deeply gripping and devastating production leaves the audience filled with empathetic catharsis.

Long Beach Playhouse will present the classic play HARVEY, starting this spring. The production, known for its whimsical charm and poignant themes, follows the story of Elwood P. Dowd and his invisible rabbit friend.

The iconic rock musical Hair is back in a bold new Brazilian production directed by Charles Möeller and Claudio Botelho. Opening at São Paulo’s BTG Pactual Hall, the show celebrates the spirit of the 1960s counterculture — peace, love, and rebellion — through powerful anthems like Aquarius and Let the Sunshine In. With a cast of 30 led by Rodrigo Simas and Eduardo Borelli, this vibrant staging fuses rock, poetry, and raw emotion to explore freedom, identity, and protest in a turbulent era. Nearly six decades after its debut, Hair still pulses with youthful defiance and idealism, inviting audiences to sing, reflect, and feel the rhythm of a revolution that never truly ended.

Overshadowed Theatrical Productions will present Mary Chase’s Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy Harvey from September 19–October 11, 2025. Directed by Kady Debelak, the production will include Friday evening Q&A sessions with the cast.

Sarasota Opera announces an added title in its “HD at the Opera House” series with a screening of “Der Rosenkavalier” on Sunday, September 25. This historic Salzburg Festival production stars legendary soprano Elisabeth Schwarzkopf. Sarasota Opera also rescheduled a film of Verdi's Rigoletto to September 11 (from May) with tickets for these “HD at the Opera House” films on sale for $22, and $20 for Sarasota Opera subscribers.
