On Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00am, Fulton Area Business Alliance (FAB) and contemporary opera producer American Opera Projects (AOP) will offer The Brooklyn Cultural District Walking Tour, a free, two-hour guided walking tour through Fort Greene, Brooklyn that shows how the neighborhood has become one of the most vibrant hubs for the arts in America today. Closing SRT's 2017 Season is a contemporary musical about cynicism, belief, and the real meaning of Christmas. Another Night Before Christmas, plays December 1-23, 2017, at the East Sonora Theatre. Called 'roaringly funny, 'thoughtful', and 'perfect for a night out before Christmas', this show has a book and lyrics by Sean Grennan and music by Leah Okimoto. Grennan began writing for theatre as co-librettist (with his wife, Kathy Santen) for the musical Phantom of the Country Palace. Working as librettist and lyricist with composer Leah Okimoto, their work includes the musicals Married Alive!, A Dog's Life, and Another Night Before Christmas, all of which premiered at the American Heartland Theatre led by director Paul Hough. Michael Moore Among Artists Recognized At United Solo Festival Gala

United Solo, the world's largest solo theatre festival, concluded its eighth season with a Gala at Theatre Row in New York. Throughout its ten-week run, the festival offered 120 stage productions, representing six continents, performed mostly in English, but also in Bulgarian, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Russian, Spanish, and in the category of physical theatre through body language. Nearly 60 shows sold out, and were presented several times due to popular demand. Fiona Show called United Solo 'the mecca of the solo shows in the world.' This past season, the festival presented productions created by new talents, as well as show business veterans, including Oscar winner Milton Justice and Emmy winner Bill Oberst Jr. This year's festival also offered Master Classes led by Pau Aran Gimeno, a performer at Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch; James Lecesne, an actor, activist, author of the screenplay for an Oscar-winning film; and Austin Pendleton, a renowned actor and director, and a recipient of the Drama Desk Special Award. Cast Announced For Theatr Clwyd And Paperfinch's Co-Production Of THE SNOW QUEEN

Artistic Director of Theatr Clwyd, Tamara Harvey, today announces full cast for Theatr Clwyd and Paperfinch's co-production of The Snow Queen, based on Hans Christian Anderson's classic fairy tale. Joe Bunce directs Josh Sneesby in the titular role, and he will be joined by Matilda Reith (Ripley Pockets) and Robyn Sinclair (Gerda). Opening on 18 December, with previews from the 15th and performed as a promenade in 15 specially created spaces in the building, the production will see more than 30 members of the community come together to join the company.
