Donmar Warehouse Artistic Director Michael Longhurst and Executive Director Henny Finch today announce the full cast for the UK première of Lucas Hnath's A Doll's House, Part 2. Joining Noma Dumezweni as Nora are Patricia Allison (Emmy), Brían F. O'Byrne (Torvald), and June Watson (Anne Marie). James Macdonald's production, in a reconfigured Donmar in the round, opens on 16 June, with previews from 10 June, and runs until 6 August.

Manhattan Theatre Club announced the lineup for the 2022 Ted Snowdon Reading Series. The readings kick off Monday, March 14 and will be held on Mondays through March 28. I fell in love with Jersey Boys when I discovered the cast recording back in 2006. That recording turned me into a fan of the group The Four Seasons which I honestly didn't know before this. Granted I knew some of the songs, but I found it fascinating that also 'my elders' didn't really know the group either. Later I learned that they never toured outside the United states. That could be a reason why the band went under the radar. I saw the musical twice in London and once in Las Vegas although my jetlag almost killed that experience. I had to drink four Red Bulls to stay awake. Luckily I did not need any Red Bull during the Norwegian premiere of this show. The show itself was energy booster enough for me.

Today’s subject Courtney Balan is currently living her theatre life on tour as the self-absorbed Broadway star Dee Dee Allen in the TOTALLY original musical The Prom.  The show plays through January 16th in the Eisenhower at The Kennedy Center. It will then continue on locally to The Hippodrome in Baltimore, MD from Jan 18th through 23rd.
