(“MSG Entertainment”) and legendary musician and MSG franchise Billy Joel have announced that after ten extraordinary years, Joel's historic franchise run at The Garden will conclude with his 150th lifetime show at the venue in July 2024. With this also comes the announcement that the first of the final ten shows in his record-breaking residency at The World's Most Famous Arena will take place on October 20, 2023.

Billy Joel announced that after ten years, Joel’s historic franchise run at The Garden will conclude with his 150th lifetime show at the venue in July 2024. It’s no secret that the field of radio has changed significantly. Just in my time on the radio, it went from there needing to be someone at the station 24/7 to satellite and automation. On-Air shifts became less and less, and unless you were a household name (and ultimately that didn’t really matter either), staying on-air seemed impossible, especially when ratings came out. Do I sound bitter? I’m not, but I have a lot of dear friends who have been sacrificed by this trade.

PYO Music Institute Launches 10th Annual Ovation Award

PYO Music Institute (PYOMI) and its partners will continue recognizing outstanding music teachers through the 10th Annual Ovation Award. This award recognizes inspiration and leadership in music education. For over ten years, hundreds of current and former music students have shown appreciation for their music teachers through Ovation Award submissions. Beginning on March 6, 2023, current and former students of all ages are invited to nominate “the music teacher who changed my life” in a 250-word essay.
