Winner of 11 Tony Awards, the hit Broadway musical LA CAGE AUX FOLLES returns to Sydney at the State Theatre from 19 April for one week only.

New Philharmonic, the professional orchestra in residence at the McAninch Arts Center, closes out its 2022-2023 season with Broadway in Concert: “South Pacific” 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 15 and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 16. Set on a South Pacific Island during WWII, this important and influential musical weaves the themes of romance, duty and prejudice to create a story that is funny, heartbreaking and thought-provoking.

In his first trip to Australia to meet the local company, HAMILTON creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, sat down with ABC journalist Leigh Sales in Brisbane – in front of an audience of what are affectionately known around the world as #Hamilfans; for a special Q&A to recognise his contribution to the cultural zeitgeist and to discuss the impact that HAMILTON is having around the world. 

Players Guild of Leonia, founded in 1919, will present the Lloyd Kaufman's cult film classic, THE TOXIC AVENGER, at the Civil War Drill Hall Theatre (130 Grand Avenue, Leonia). The show will be presented over three weekends, starting this Friday, April 14th, and closing on Sunday April 30th. Performances are 8:00pm Fridays and Saturdays, and 3:00pm on Sundays.

The Hermitage Artist Retreat has announced the line-up of guest stars for its one-night-only benefit concert to celebrate the 20th Anniversary Season of the Hermitage and to raise funds for ongoing repairs to the Hermitage following the impact of Hurricane Ian earlier this season.

The west coast premiere of playwright Anna Deavere Smith’s expanded solo show Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 opens March 15, 2023, at the Mark Taper Forum (with previews beginning March 8th). Gregg T. Broadway Dallas has announced its 2023 Gala featuring a full performance of MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL on Saturday, April 1 at the Music Hall at Fair Park, hosted by Gala Co-Chairs Jolie Humphrey and Gail Plummer with Honorary Co-Chairs Ambassador Kathryn Walt Hall and Craig Hall.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announced the cast for the D.C. premiere of Ride the Cyclone. Arena Stage’s Kreeger Theater will be transformed into somewhere between earth and—well, not earth—when Ride the Cyclone plays from January 13 – February 19, 2023.

The producers of the Tony, Grammy, Olivier and Pulitzer Prize winning musical HAMILTON have confirmed the full company today for the Brisbane season, opening at the Lyric Theatre, QPAC (Queensland Performing Arts Centre), beginning January 27, 2023.

The Broadway Musical, HAMILTON, will return to Minneapolis this spring for five weeks at the historic Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Ave.) as part of the Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin season.

TBS' competition series, “The Cube,” hosted by three-time NBA Champion, one of the NBA’s 75 all-time greatest players, and founder of 59th and Prairie Entertainment, Dwyane Wade will return. Other celebrity guests, competing for charities, will be woven throughout episodes and will include Shaquille O’Neal, Jimmie Allen, and Iman Shumpert.  

The producers of HAMILTON have announced that the Australian production of the Tony, Grammy, Olivier and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical must leave Australia following the conclusion of the Brisbane season in April 2023.
