Forte Theatre Company Announces 2023-2024 Season

Artistic Director Randall Dodge and Executive Director Brenda Dodge have announced Forte Theatre Company's 2023-2024 Season, which will be performed at the Saber Center for the Performing Arts in Franklin.

Forte Theatre Company is the first professional theatre company in Milwaukee's Southwest suburbs. The upcoming 2023/24 Season marks Forte's fourth season in production. "We're proud to bring professional theatre to Milwaukee's suburbs," said Executive Director Brenda Dodge. "It's exciting to know that we're reaching old and new audiences alike."

Forte Theatre Company's 2023/24 Professional Mainstage Season opens with the musical theatre hit Hello, Dolly! Based on the play The Matchmaker by Thornton Wilder, with book by Michael Stewart and music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, this blockbuster Broadway phenomenon won ten Tony Awards in 1964 and another four Tonys for the 2017 Broadway revival. Forte will follow that with Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic South Pacific. Based on "Tales of the South Pacific", James Michener's collection of short stories, South Pacific received the 1950 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, ten Tony Awards including Best Musical in 1950 and seven Tony Awards for the 2008 Broadway revival.

Forte Youth Productions will also produce two youth musicals for students ages 10-18 from throughout the Greater Milwaukee Area. Legally Blonde The Musical Jr will take place January 26-28, 2024. Disney's Finding Nemo Jr will perform August 2-4, 2024.
