Producer Mark Cortale and Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts have announced that The Seth Rudetsky Concert Series, hosted and music directed by Sirius XM radio star Seth Rudetsky, will return to Scottsdale for the 2020 season. Kicking off the series this season will be Laura Osnes, Tony Award® nominee for her leading roles in Cinderella and Bonnie and Clyde on Broadway, and star on TV of Hallmark Channel's A Homecoming for the Holidays, on Friday, January 24 at 8:00 PM. She will be followed by Tony Award® nominated actor Norm Lewis, best known for his performances in Porgy and Bess and The Phantom of the Opera and on Television in Scandal and Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert!, on Friday, March 6 at 8:00 PM.

Broadway has found its next Evan Hansen! Producer Stacey Mindich just announced today that recording artist and actor Jordan Fisher will return to Broadway, joining the cast of the Tony Award- winning musical Dear Evan Hansen, playing the title role for a limited 16-week engagement, beginning Tuesday, January 28. Fisher succeeds Andrew Barth Feldman, who plays his final performance on Sunday, January 26.

Show business tour de force Juan Pablo Di Pace brings his critically-acclaimed new one man show, An Evening with Juan Pablo Di Pace, to The Green Room 42, Thursday, January 9, and Saturday, January 11, with performances nightly at 7 PM.

Qdos Entertainment today announce that Janine Duvitski will play Mummy Bear, Sophie Isaacs will play the title role of Goldilocks and Lauren Stroud will play Baby Bear in the 2019 London Palladium Pantomime Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Performances begin at the London Palladium on Saturday 7 December 2019 for a strictly limited 5-week run until Sunday 12 January 2020.

 The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles (BAFTA Los Angeles) is pleased to announce that five-time EMMY®-winning television pioneer Norman Lear will receive the Britannia Award for Excellence in Television at the 2019 British Academy Britannia Awards. Deadline reports that TV, film, and Broadway actor Keke Palmer has just begun her tenure as host of the third hour of Good Morning America. She joins Michael Strahan and Sara Haines.

Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of André Bishop, has announced it will produce a new musical during its 2019-2020 season. FLYING OVER SUNSET, with a book and direction by James Lapine, music by Tom Kitt, and lyrics by Michael Korie, will feature choreography by Michelle Dorrance, and will begin previews March 12, 2020 and open on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). Carmen Cusack, Harry Hadden-Paton and Tony Yazbeck will head the cast with additional casting to be announced at a later date.

With these kinds of statistical facts, it can be inferred immigration is certainly on the rise, especially those searching for a safe haven in the supposedly United States who come from countries of violence, persecution, and turmoil of their own. Immigration has always made America great bringing varied values while creating a true melting pot. And as the lyrics say in Lin Manuel Miranda's musical Hamilton, 'immigrants, we get the job done.' Sure, you can point fingers and say I'm a millennial living at home with mom and dad and have no inclination of the outside real world or know the importance of a job, but as a privileged Irish American white male actor, I have witnessed time and time again these hard working immigrants 'getting the job done' at restaurant and customer service jobs to help support their own American dream of simple inclusion and sense of belonging. Jobs which no one truly likes to work. From dishwashers, to construction workers, to asylum seeking students, there is nothing these refugees will do to try to assimilate and make America their newfound home. Such themes were presented at Music Theatre Wichita's 2019 season closer In the Heights also written by Lin Manuel Miranda which ran from August 7th-11th at Century II Concert Hall.

Actors ages 6-60 often get their start on the local stage whether it be church, school, or community theatre. Stepping out of your comfort zone and in to the spotlight can be daunting, especially when you don't know what to fully expect. This guide is all you need to know about community theatre from a seasoned performer. Most community theatres are low pressure environments and excellent places to get some theatre experience in as they tend to be more forgiving and can relieve some of the stress that new actors feel when taking on a role. For example, you most likely won't be chewed out if you're a little late getting off book or if you can't pick up the choreography at lightning speed. People understand that no one is getting paid, everyone has other jobs and commitments, and you'll do the best you can with the resources you have.

Everyone loves a little nostalgia, especially when it comes to their favorite television shows and movies growing up. For millennials and Gen Z-ers, these probably include a few DCOMs (Disney Channel Original Movie) and series.
