Everyone loves a little nostalgia, especially when it comes to their favorite television shows and movies growing up. For millennials and Gen Z-ers, these probably include a few DCOMs (Disney Channel Original Movie) and series. Several of the stars of these films and TV shows have gone on to further their acting and singing careers on Broadway, and some even got their start on the stage. Below is a list of stars that you may or may not know have a few theatre credits under their belt!

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced Andrea McArdle and Donna McKechnie: Celebrate Sondheim & Hamlisch on Monday, July 8 at 8 pm as part of Bay Street Theater's Music Mondays concert series. BroadwayWorld has learned that that Broadway Stars and real-life couple Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young will headline the First National Tour of the musical comedy First Date. Although DeGarmo and Young were both contestants on 'American Idol,' their 'first date' was during the Broadway production of HAIR in 2010. After dating for three years, they tied the knot in 2013 and immediately starred in the National Tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. They will share the stage once again beginning fall of 2020. First Date is written by Austin Winsberg (book) with Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner (music and lyrics) and this newly updated production will be directed by Matt DiCarlo (NYNational Tour: The Play That Goes Wrong). As the 2019 Summer Shakespeare Festival kicks off, The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team with As You Like It, the Bard's fabulously charming romantic comedy, whose heroine is one of his most remarkable creations.
