With the Summer Open Exhibition currently taking place at the Salisbury Arts Centre until 3rd September, Wiltshire Creative has announced its autumn/winter line up. A fantastic programme of comedy, music, theatre, and performance art has been mapped out from 10th September until 14th January.

Legendary Broadway performer and Tony, Academy, and Golden Globe Award winner Joel Grey (Cabaret, Wicked, Anything Goes) will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 Chita Rivera Awards.

Kentwood Players will hold open auditions for LAUGHTER ON THE 23rd FLOOR, a Show Biz comedy by Neil Simon, on Saturday, May 14 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and Sunday, May 15 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Callbacks will be held on Monday, May 16 at 7:00 PM by appointment only. This is a non-equity, non-paid production directed by Stanley Brown and produced by Kathy Dershimer for Kentwood Players, with rights secured from Concord Theatricals.

THE DJANGO, downtown Manhattan’s premier jazz club, is celebrating the next generation of jazz with a special concert series this month. During the month of May, The Django welcomes rising stars as part of its new Next Gen Series.

Sugar Ray by Laurence Holder will have its theatrical premiere January 6 to 23, 2022 at Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street, presented by 24 Bond Arts Center in association with Faith Steps Productions and performed by AUDELCO-winner Reginald L. Wilson.  The theater's playing area will be transformed into a boxing ring for the production.

After being postponed due to the pandemic, a new exhibition, Atomic Alert!: Confronting “The Bomb” in the New Atomic Age, will be on view at the Museum of Russian Icons from June 28 through August 8, 2021.

The criteria are that these shows have been nominated for Best Musical from the 3rd Tony Awards (the ceremony that started the Best Musical category) in 1949 to the nominations of what will now be the 74th Tony Awards in 2021. I will be determining their signs based upon their Broadway premiere date. With those rules in mind, here we go!

As Las Vegas showrooms make a comeback under relaxed pandemic protocols, the iconic Vegas showgirl is enjoying a revival in 'BurlesQ,' the all-female revue which opened in December 2020 at Alexis Park Resort Las Vegas.

Texas Performing Arts will extend the exhibit through Sunday, April 18. For individuals unable to attend in-person, a guided virtual tour will be available beginning Wednesday, March 10 with resident expert and curator Karen L. Maness, Scenic Art Supervisor for Texas Performing Arts.
