Donna Summer Musical is a show with book by Colman Domingo, Robert Cary, and Des McAnuff and music and lyrics by Donna Summer, Giorgio Moroder, Pete Bellotte, Paul Jabara, and others, based on the life of Donna Summer.
The musical shows the Queen of Disco at three times of her life: Duckling Donna (Amanda Souza) is in her pre-teens, starting out in Boston; Disco Donna (Jeniffer Nascimento), in her late teens and 20s, has her initial success; and Diva Donna (Karin Hils) is in her 50s and at the top of her career.
With direction by Miguel Falabella, the show opens at Teatro Santander on March 5.

Carnegie Hall welcomes back two orchestras from the culturally rich city of Munich, Germany: Munich Philharmonic and Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (BRSO) this fall. On Friday, October 25 at 8:00 p.m., Music Director Valery Gergiev leads the Munich Philharmonic in Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No 1. with Behzod Abduraimov and Bruckner's Symphony No. 7. The following evening, Saturday, October 26 at 8:00 p.m. they return with Leonidas Kavakos playing Brahms's Violin Concerto. Also on the program is Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5 and Jörg Widmann's Con brio.

An exciting story of faith indicated for people of all religions, APARECIDA, by Walcyr Carrasco, and direction by Fernanda Chamma, will open at Teatro Bradesco on March 22. The show has original music and musical direction by Carlos Bauzys, original lyrics by Ricardo Severo, scenography by Richard Luiz, costumes by Fabio Namatame, light design by Cesar de Ramires, sound design by Gabriel D'Angelo and production by MPCult.
With a cast of 33 artists and 12 musicians, 20 original songs, dozens of costumes and grandiose scenarios were created to tell the story of Nossa Senhora Aparecida (Our Lady of the Apparition, the patroness saint of Brazil), one of the greatest symbols of Brazilians' faith, and whose sanctuary receives more than 17 million followers a year.
