As The Kitchen continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary, it begins the renovation of its Chelsea home on 19th Street and will move temporarily to Westbeth’s expansive West Side Loft.

Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz, the duo known as Watchhouse (formerly known as Mandolin Orange), will perform in Capitol Theater on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 8 p.m.

The 92nd Street Y, New York Harkness Dance Center's 2022/23 Mainstage Series opens on Thursday, September 22 with UNA Productions, and the New York premiere of Grass is Green, an evening-length work for seven dancers and drag queen/live cellist/live pianist Rose Nylons, choreographed by Chuck Wilt in collaboration with the performers: Kira Fargas, Tushrik Fredericks, Dominica Greene, Dasol Kim, Rebecca Margolick, Hadassah Perry, Chuck Wilt, and Drag queen & live cellist/pianist: Rose Nylons.

City Lit Theater announced its lineup for the 2022-23 season. The season will begin in October with the world premiere of THE MARK OF KANE, by Mark Pracht, and conclude in late spring with the world premiere of Kingsley Day and Philip LaZebnik’s musical AZTEC HUMAN SACRIFICE.

The Sauk is one of only six theatres in the nation to receive this honor.

Robert Hastie, Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres, has announced that the venue previously known as the Studio theatre will now be named the Tanya Moiseiwitsch Playhouse in honour of the hugely influential theatre designer that had an essential role in the creation of the Crucible complex. 

The Weathervane Theatre will present Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's landmark rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar.

The 92nd Street Y, New York Harkness Dance Center has announced the 2022/23 season, anchored by the Mainstage Series. The Mainstage Series features unique performances in one of the art form’s most historic spaces, where audiences witnessed iconic artists including Martha Graham, Alvin Ailey (premiering Revelations), Jose Limón and Pearl Primus.

Recognized worldwide for his natural ease and extraordinary collaborative spirit, American conductor James Gaffigan has attracted international attention for his equitable prowess as both a conductor of symphony orchestras and opera. With numerous appointments and guest engagements throughout Europe and North America, Gaffigan is known for empowering and nurturing artists and ensembles to cultivate the highest art possible.

The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) and the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) have opened applications for the fourth round of grants for the NYC Women's Fund for Media, Music and Theatre. Qualified applicants can apply for $2 million in finishing grants through November 1, 2022

Muswell Hillbillies’ release was supported by more US touring, including two 1972 nights at New York’s iconic Carnegie Hall. Porchlight Music Theatre is proud to announce the cast of New Faces for the  final performances of the sixth season of the popular New Faces Sing Broadway series and the conclusion of its 27th season with New Faces Sing Broadway 1971.

Adrian Edmondson will play Ebenezer Scrooge in the Royal Shakespeare Company's revival of David Edgar's adaptation of Dickens' much-loved classic story A Christmas Carol.  The production, directed by Rachel Kavanaugh, runs in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon between 26 October 2022 – 1 January 2023.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere musical, Goddess. The musical stage production is conceived and directed by Saheem Ali, music and lyrics by Michael Thurber, and written by Jocelyn Bioh. Previews begin Saturday, August 13, and the show runs through Sunday, September 25.

David Blaine will make his New York producing debut with Asi Wind’s Inner Circle this fall at The Gym at Judson beginning Thursday, September 15 with opening night on Sunday, September 18.
