Though it looks like I'm a socialite, I honestly don't go to a lot of parties. However, the one that I DO NOT want to miss is thrown by my friends at Reynolds Performance Hall in Conway. I love going to their annual Season Reveal because it feels like Christmas morning for arts lovers.

Sir Tom Stoppard’s last play, LEOPOLDSTADT, is his most personal. He wrote a narrative loosely based on his own family, changed the location to Austria, and finally wrote a Jewish script. The show debuted in London in 2020 and ran on Broadway from 2022 to 2023. It garnered the Tony for best play that year, and this Main Street Theater production represents its Regional debut.

For me, the message of this play is that family is the most important thing. Having, keeping, and surviving those family ties and those memories.

No matter how much time passes, there seems to be no end to the trend of turning movies into musicals. I’m honestly getting a little sick of it, but a few gems have managed to peek through the cracks.

A new Broadway season is here, full of exciting new shows and revivals of beloved classics. While many of them are original concepts or based on plays, some are based on books or the lives of famous people or real events, which you can add to your reading list. BACK TO THE FUTURE: The Musical will arrive in Houston as part of the TUTS 2025/26 Season. This live experience based on the Universal Pictures/Amblin Entertainment film comes to the Hobby Center from March 31 through April 5.
