Multi-GRAMMY® Award-winning composer/pianist/educator Arturo O'Farrill and the non-profit The Afro Latin Jazz Alliance (ALJA) announce a special Holiday Dance Concert featuring the 18-piece Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra (ALJO) performing riveting compositions from its acclaimed repertoire at BRIC House on Thursday, December 5, 2019. The Holiday Dance Concert raises funds for the Afro Latin Jazz Alliance's Music Education Programs. The evening will be a retrospective of Latin Jazz Big Band music with an emphasis on Mambo. As BroadwayWorld reported earlier this month, rumors have been circulating that  the upcoming Cats film will miss multiple awards deadlines for this upcoming award season. Members of the New York Film Critics were told that it wouldn't see the film before mid-December, meaning that it would miss the deadlines for the Golden Globes, which has its final screening on December 4, National Board of Review, which announces its winners December 3, the SAG Awards, which close nominations on December 8. Now according to Variety, the film will indeed meet the early deadlines. Members of the Hollywood Foreign Press will see the film in early December.

It has been revealed that the upcoming Cats film will miss multiple awards deadlines for this upcoming award season.

In a new interview with Variety, Taylor Swift has revealed she has previously auditioned for CATS director Tom Hooper for the 2012 film adaptation of Les Misérables.

Baz Bamigboye reports that Taylor Swift and Andrew Lloyd Webber have collaborated on a new song for the CATS movie titled 'Beautiful Ghosts' which is performed by Frankie Hayward, and reprised again in the film by Judi Dench.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of the comedy/drama, a?oeVisiting Mr. Greena?? by Jeff Baron, on Monday, November 18, at 7 p.m. The cast includes Tim Jerome as Mr. Green and Charles Socarides as Ross Gardiner. The reading will be directed by Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. Tickets are $20 each.
