Baltimore’s own Tanea Renee has returned to the stage as Billie Holiday in a new production of Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill at Baltimore Center Stage.  See photos from the production.

The show also debuted the brand new soundtrack for the series featuring previously unreleased song, “The Queens” by Paola Iezzi who, together with Paolo Camilli, Chiara Francini and Drag Queen Priscilla make up the judging panel for this season. The song was written by Paola Iezzi and Johannes Willinder.

Two visiting artists from Jelgava, Latvia - Kristina Landaua Junkere and Raitis Junkers - will be exhibiting their talents at the 26th Annual Carmel International Arts Festival on September 23 and 24 in the Carmel Arts & Design District. Jelgava is one of Carmel’s five sister cities.

Seventeen years ago, Susan Priver starred as Flora opposite Henry Olek as Edward with Shelly Kurtz as the match seller in Harold Pinter’s A Slight Ache, a tragicomedy of manners that takes a funny, ominous, and unsettling journey into the human psyche. All three actors will reprise their roles in a visiting production of Pinter’s play, directed by Jack Heller at the Odyssey Theatre in West L.A. from August 26 through October 1.
