Light in the Attic Records commemorates the 40th anniversary of Donnie & Joe Emerson's Dreamin' Wild, the private press album that hit the mainstream, garnering considerable acclaim and notoriety since its original release in 1979, and subsequent reissue in 2011 by Light In The Attic. The brothers have recently become cult favorites thanks in large part to the hypnotic allure of “Baby,” a song that has been covered by Ariel Pink & Dâm-Funk (released as part of LITA's Cover Series) and featured in a number of films and TV shows, including a prominent placement in the most recent season of the critically acclaimed HBO series,Big Little Lies. The unlikely story of the rock'n'roll farmer boys from rural Washington State is set for a big screen adaptation, helmed by Oscar-winning producer Jim Burke(Green Book) and producer/writer/director Bill Pohlad (Love & Mercy, 12 Years a Slave, The Tree of Life).

As previously announced, MainStage Irving*Las Colinas has recently leased the former Texas Musicians Museum (222 E. Irving Blvd, Irving TX 75060), with the newly-titled MainStage 222 building set to officially open on October 3rd. SiriusXM announced today that the iconic and acclaimed American rock and roll trio, The Stray Cats, will perform an intimate invitation-only show for SiriusXM subscribers on Friday, August 2 near the band's hometown of Massapequa, New York on Long Island, where they first formed in 1979. This performance--which will kick-start their much-anticipated 40th anniversary U.S. tour--marks the first time the trio will take the stage at Revolution Bar & Grill for a show after unsuccessfully auditioning at the venue 40 years ago.

Grammy Award-nominated folk-rock singer-songwriter Steve Forbert brings his band, the New Renditions, and his distinctive folk-rock sound to Club Helsinki Hudson on Thursday, July 18, at 8pm. Best known for hit songs 'Romeo's Tune' and 'Goin' Down to Laurel,' Forbert was touted as a 'new Dylan' when he burst upon the scene in downtown New York in the mid-1970s.
