The Metropolitan Opera today announced its 2022–23 season, which features seven new productions, the most in ten seasons. Opening Night is September 27 with the company premiere of Cherubini’s Medea, starring soprano Sondra Radvanovsky in the title role alongside tenor Matthew Polenzani in David McVicar’s new staging, conducted by Carlo Rizzi.

It has been a long time coming, but this spring The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre will welcome the musical Hello, Dolly! to its stage. 

Broadway fervor reignited as major Broadway musical talents converged at the Kennedy Center for an evening of musical pleasure and panache in the concert 50 Years of Broadway at the Kennedy Center. CAGE SHUFFLE MARATHON – a full-length evening of dance and spoken word set to John Cage’s 90, one-minute stories from his 1963 score INDETERMINANCY – will be given its world premiere February 15-19 when Paul Lazar and several guest artists  take the stage at La MaMa’s Downstairs theater.

It has been announced that musical theatre star and television presenter Brenda Edwards (Chicago, We Will Rock You, The X Factor, Loose Women and Songs of Praise) will star as Motormouth Maybelle in the UK and Ireland tour of Hairspray.  Comedy legend Norman Pace (ITV's The Hale and Pace Show) will play Wilbur Turnblad alongside West End leading man Alex Bourne (Annie, Mamma Mia!, We Will Rock You) as Edna Turnblad.

Irish Repertory Theatre announced today productions for their upcoming fall season, which will mark their return to in-person programming following the Covid-19 shutdown in March 2020.  

The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre is preparing for a heartwarming romantic comedy this fall when its production of the Broadway classic The Pajama Game takes to the stage.  Opening Friday, September 10th, the production was rescheduled from earlier this season.
