The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will present the Washington, D.C. premiere of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s OKLAHOMA! at the Kennedy Center’s Eisenhower Theater April 5–10, 2022.

The Kimmel Cultural Campus will present the Philadelphia premiere of the reimagined Rodgers & Hammerstein's OKLAHOMA!, running March 8 through March 20 at the Forrest Theatre. The 2021-22 national tour will mark the first time a First-Class Equity production of Oklahoma! has toured North America in more than 40 years.

The North American tour of Rogers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma! is now playing 25 cities during the 2021-2022 season including stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Chicago and Nashville, and more.

The Best of Broadway will present the Lowcountry premiere of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s OKLAHOMA! at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center  May 21 & 22, 2022.  Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Monday, December 13 at 10AM.

The cast of the national tour of Oklahoma! has been announced! The cast will feature Sasha Hutchings as Laurey Williams, Sean Grandillo as Curly McLain, Christopher Bannow as Jud Fry, Sis as Ado Annie Carnes, Hennessy Winkler as Will Parker, Benj Mirman as Ali Hakim, Barbara Walsh as Aunt Eller and more.

This month, Laurel audiences get a real treat when Steven and Catherine take on the leading roles of Norman and Ethel Thayer in the classic play “ON GOLDEN POND.”  Those are the roles that won Best Actor Oscar awards for Henry Fonda and Katherine Hepburn in the hit 1981 movie version.

Ucross, a prestigious artist residency program and creative laboratory for the arts in Wyoming, and The Blank Theatre, a Los Angeles institution celebrating 31 years of imaginative theatre, today announced the winners of the newly created Ucross + The Blank Theatre Future of Playwriting Prize, a one-of-a-kind award for young playwrights nationwide.

The criteria are that these shows have been nominated for Best Musical from the 3rd Tony Awards (the ceremony that started the Best Musical category) in 1949 to the nominations of what will now be the 74th Tony Awards in 2021. I will be determining their signs based upon their Broadway premiere date. With those rules in mind, here we go!

The fellowships will provide residencies at Ucross to theatre artists, composers, and musicians from the Yale School of Drama and the Yale School of Music.
