AMC Networks Announces BEST CHRISTMAS EVER

AMC Networks has viewers covered this holiday season as the second annual “Best Christmas Ever,” returns with its largest slate of holiday programming to-date featuring over 60 films and specials airing all day, every day, and this year, expands to all five of AMC Networks. Beginning Monday, November 25 through Christmas Day, the monthlong programming event will offer up more than 700 hours of holiday-themed movies, specials and family favorite films. AMC Networks will be the exclusive home to many holiday favorites including Elf, The Polar Express, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Miracle on 34th Street ('94), Four Christmases, Fred Claus and Rankin-Bass Christmas classics including The Year Without a Santa Claus, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, Jack Frost, and Rudolph's Shiny New Year, among many others. This year's newly expanded Best Christmas Ever holiday event will feature a schedule takeover on AMC, and daily marathons across the other AMC Networks including BBC America, IFC, Sundance TV and WEtv. The majority of movies and specials will also be available on-demand on AMC.com and the AMC app.

The Art Directors Guild's Gallery 800 (ADG, IATSE Local 800) presents FANTASTIC VOYAGE, an exclusive mixed media exhibition celebrating the genres of Sci-Fi, Fantasy & the Metaphysical Realm. The Broadway community mourns the loss of Writer, Composer, Lyricist, Director, and Performer Martin Charnin, who passed away on July 6, 2019 at age 84. To commemorate his life and work, the Committee of Theatre Owners will dim the lights of the Neil Simon Theatre in New York, where his legendary musical Annie first opened, for one minute on Friday, July 12 at exactly 7:45pm.

Filmmakers from the U.S., Lebanon, Palestine, and the United Kingdom have been selected for the 2019 Sundance Institute Directors and Screenwriters Labs, taking place at the Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah. At the Directors Lab (May 27-June 18), filmmakers will rehearse, shoot, and edit key scenes from their scripts, working in an immersive, hands-on environment with support from accomplished advisors to build their craft as directors and make key discoveries in collaboration with their actors and key crew. Immediately following, the Screenwriters Lab (June 20-24) provides the opportunity to process the insight gained from the Directors Lab through one-on-one story sessions with screenwriter advisors, and find inspiration and guidance for continued development of their screenplays.
