Public Theater announced the line-up today for The Public's 2019-20 Season 

 Steppenwolf Theatre Company and LookOut announce conversations and events designed to enrich the experience of audiences around MS. BLAKK FOR PRESIDENT, a new work by ensemble members Tina Landau and Tarell Alvin McCraney. This series of events celebrates the real-life inspiration for this thrilling new work, Ms. Joan Jett Blakk aka Terence Alan Smith, the activists who were a part of the queer political movement of the era and those who carry on Ms. Blakk's legacy today through performance, celebration and activism.

The Caribbean Cultural Center invites the public to the 9th annual Art of Justice on May 15th from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm for an open strategic discussion with Arlene Davila, Nitasha Dhillion, Shellyne Rodriguez, and Marz Saffore to address the issue: Decolonizing Places l Theirs and Ours. The Art of Justice is an interactive conference series on the intersections of art, activism, and cultural equity. CCCADI is  located at 120 East 125th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues. The 29th annual Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival (Inside Out), championing innovative LGBTQ filmmakers from across the globe, revealed its full feature and short film lineup. The announcement was made today by Inside Out's Executive Director Andria Wilson and the festival's Director of Programming Andrew Murphy. Inside Out, which launched the first ever annual LGBTQ Film Finance Forum, has established itself as an international home and incubator for LGBTQ emerging and established filmmakers. This year's festival will take place May 23 to June 2, 2019.

For the first time in over a decade, Houston Ballet brings back Copp lia, a family-friendly treasure created by former Houston Ballet Artistic Director Ben Stevenson OBE. Serving as Artistic Director of Houston Ballet from 1976 to 2003, Stevenson developed a wide repertory and is credited with transforming Houston Ballet into one of America's leading ballet companies.

Now over 20 million albums into their career, there can be no doubt as to why The B-52s remain one of rock music's most beloved and enduring bands. As The B-52s continue to celebrate their 40th Anniversary, the band announced a world-wide tour today that is expected to cover more than 10 countries and will include a headlining North American summer tour, including a stop at the Majestic Theatre (224 E. Oakland University to welcome Aeolus Quartet, clarinetist Franklin Cohen for Jan. 20 concert

The award-winning Aeolus Quartet is joined by revered clarinetist Franklin Cohen, former principal of the Cleveland Orchestra, for three concerts on the Chamber Music Society of Detroit's new regional partner series. The concerts take place Friday, January 18, 7:30 PM in the Patriot Theater at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial; Saturday, January 19, 7:30 PM at the Village Theater at Cherry Hill in Canton; and Sunday, January 20, 3:00 PM at Oakland University's Varner Recital Hall in Rochester Hills. The program features Mozart's masterful Clarinet Quintet, as well as an early Beethoven Quartet, Op. 18, No. 3 in D major, and American composer Ben Johnston's String Quartet No. 4, Variations on Amazing Grace.
