Returning to the Muny stage for 10 magical performances, Disney's Beauty and The Beast tells the story of a cursed prince transformed into a hideous beast and the adventurous young woman named Belle whose love could break the curse. Based on the 1991 film, the show has entertained millions worldwide since its Broadway premiere in 1994.
The full cast includes Kate Rockwell (Belle), Nicholas Rodriguez (Beast), Nathaniel Hackmann (Gaston), Rob McClure (Lumiere), Lenny Wolpe (Maurice), Deidre Goodwin (Babette), Marva Hicks (Mrs. Potts), Steve Rosen (Cogsworth), Michael Hartung (Lefou) and Spencer Jones (Chip). All these questions and more are explored in this fresh adaptation of Aesop's Fables, dually inspired by the classic morals of these stories and the troupe of student actors who will bring them to life. The 2021-22 Season “Reignite, Reimagine!” continues with the return of Creative Cauldron's beloved Learning Theater production and Aesop's Fables, written and directed by Laura Connors Hull, with original music by Matt Conner.
