FestivalSouth opens its 2020 season with Broadway's singing, dancing, feel-good, musical, Kinky Boots, in a limited engagement, June 4 - 6 in the Mannoni Performing Arts Center Auditorium. Winner of every major Best Musical award, including the Tony, the Grammy and London's Olivier Award, Kinky Boots features a joyous, Tony-winning score by Cyndi Lauper and a hilarious, uplifting book by four-time Tony winner, Harvey Fierstein in a production by The Hub City Players, who played to sold out houses with last year's Sister Act.

Back by popular demand, the award-winning, smash hit of 2019, Every Brilliant Thing, returns to Belvoir for a strictly limited season to kick off 2020, and sees Helpmann Award nominee, Steve Rodgers (Belvoir's Cloudstreet), reprise his role in this outstanding solo performance.

They will receive the prestigious award during the NATPE Miami 2020 convention during a dinner gala on January 22, 2020, at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach. The dinner, with its A-list attendees, benefits the NATPE Educational Foundation, with a portion going to the Broadcasters Federation of America (BFOA). Bob Holmes is returning as Executive Producer of the show.

Following two sell-out runs at Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2018 and at London's Cervantes Theatre, Shackleton and his Stowaway opens the Park90 2020 season. The run will commemorate the 200th anniversary of the discovery of the Antarctic, with the anniversary date falling on 30th January 2020. This thrilling two-hander is based on historical facts, exploring a fictionalised relationship between Ernest Shackleton and the young stowaway who boarded Endurance. New York Theatre Workshop announced today that the NYTW 2020 Gala will honor NYTW Usual Suspect & Tony Award-winning director Rachel Chavkin (Hadestown, Light Shining in Buckinghamshire, Three Pianos at NYTW) and Tony Award-winning producer Jordan Roth (Hadestown). The Gala will be held on Monday, February 3 at Capitale (130 Bowery, New York, NY 10013).

The program began on radio in 1929, and 20 years later became one of TV's earliest sitcoms. For her portrayal of Molly Goldberg, the matriarch of a Jewish family living in the Bronx, Berg was the first recipient of an Emmy Award for Best Actress.

The de Blasio Administration today announced the launch of the IDNYC renewal campaign, new and returning benefit partners, and the IDNYC Middle School Card. With the fifth anniversary of the IDNYC program approaching and the first set of cards set to expire beginning in January 2020, the program has also introduced a new card design and a comprehensive, citywide advertising and targeted outreach campaign to promote renewals. IDNYC is the largest and most successful municipal ID program in the country with over 1.3 million cardholders.
