The Old Globe recently announced that due to ticket demand, the hilarious Buyer & Cellar, which starts previews tonight, April 4, will now play through Sunday, May 10! Cygnet Theatre Receives Lifesaving Donation

Cygnet Theatre is now prepared for any heart-related emergency thanks to the generous donation of an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) by Dr. Yuko Nakajima. The 100% donation was facilitated by the non-profit organization San Diego Project Heart Beat.

Coyote StageWorks' BUYER & CELLAR is howlingly funny, brilliantly acted, and cleverly staged. Playwright Jonathan Tolins alternatively skewers Barbra Streisand and sympathizes with her through Alex More, the main character -- all characters are played by Emerson Collins -- after Alex takes a job in Streisand's cellar taking care of her possessions, which are stored in a fake shopping mall.

The festival consists of actors reading works that have not yet been produced in the Coachella Valley. The audiences' numerical ratings determine the festival's winner, which Dezart will produce during its 2015-16 season.

The Second City's 55th Anniversary Tour Stops in San Diego Tonight

The Second City is known as the world's leading comedy theater and improvisational troupe, delighting audiences for more than five decades. Celebrating their 55th Anniversary this year, The Second City will be opening their vault to share some of their greatest comedy sketches created by the biggest comedic names in the industry. New York theatre and cabaret artist Anthony Logan Cole (Les Miserables, Jekyll and Hyde, Beauty and the Beast) will debut his new cabaret concert You've Hungered For This All Your Life at the Coronado Playhouse in San Diego on April 14th. Cole, who is currently playing Javert in Les Miserables at the AVO Playhouse, will reunite with Tim and Megan Larsen who have previously appeared with him in concert at The Duplex and 54 Below in New York City. The show will be Musical Directed by Stephen Hunter Taylor. You've Hungered For This All Your Life features songs from Cole's dynamic repertoire and personal stories about life on the road, dirty lyric changes, and more in this unique cabaret.

Boeing, Boeing is a bedroom farce originally written in French by Marc Camoletti in 1961 and quickly adapted onto the English-speaking stage. Translated by Beverley Cross, the Guinness Book of World Records named it the most performed French comedy ever. Boeing, Boeing takes off with the outrageous lifestyle of an American ex-patriot named Bernhard living in Paris. He is the ultimate ladies man dating three airline stewardesses in the early 1960's at the peak of the Golden Age of air travel. His affairs seem to be intermingling well until the Boeing company develops faster airplanes that lead to a romantic nightmare of crossed schedules, near misses in the bedroom and riotous consequences.

Due to the incredible demand for subscriptions to the 2015/2016 season, La Jolla Playhouse announces a week-long extension for its first two season productions: Come from Away, a world-premiere musical written and composed by David Hein and Irene Sankoff, directed by Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley, as well as for Up Here, a world-premiere musical comedy directed by Alex Timbers (Playhouse's Peter and the Starcatchers), featuring book, music and lyrics by the husband-and-wife team of Robert Lopez (The Book of Mormon, Avenue Q) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who took home the Academy and Grammy Awards for Best Song with their mega-hit "Let It Go" from the Disney animated film Frozen. Come from Away will now run May 29 - July 5 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre, and Up Here will now run July 28 - September 6 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre.
