Megan Hilty Heads 'UNDER THE STARS' to Raise Funds for Moonlight Cultural Foundation, 10/2

Moonlight Cultural Foundation presents a unique concert featuring the rising star Megan Hilty in, 'Megan Hilty Under the Stars.' With powerhouse vocals and an affable rapport with both her band and the audience, Hilty exudes the essence of good cabaret. Her impressive accomplishments have made her one of the fastest rising talents in the entertainment world.

Proceeds from the concert benefit the Moonlight Cultural Foundation, to raise funds for arts education programs for youth and adults, to foster engagement of new audiences and increase student/educator participation in the artistic process.

Hilty rose to prominence for her roles in several Broadway musicals, including her performance as Glinda in "Wicked" and her portrayal of Doralee Rhodes in "9 to 5: The Musical." Her best known role was as Ivy Lynn on the musical-drama TV series "Smash," on which she sang many original songs, including the Grammy Award-nominated "Let Me Be Your Star."

"Megan Hilty Under the Stars" is one night only on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015 under the stars at Moonlight Amphitheatre in Vista, Calif. Gates open at 7 p.m. and concert begins at 8 p.m. Single tickets are priced $35 to $75, VIP meet and greet experience priced at $150. The Moonlight's restaurant, the Artisan Café, is operated by Chef David Krohn. The Café offers pre-show dining outdoors on the Moonlight Patio where glimpses of the sunset can be seen before patrons take their seats for the show. Moonlight Cultural Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was formed in 1974 and is the fundraising arm as well as the producing partner for Moonlight Stage Productions. Called "San Diego's #1 Outdoor Theatre" by San Diego Magazine, Moonlight Stage Productions provides high-caliber productions throughout the year at the 2,000 person capacity Moonlight Amphitheatre, owned and operated by the City of Vista.
