JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, by writing team Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, is coming to the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence on April 14, at 8P for one performance only. The first collaboration between Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice to be performed on the professional stage, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is one of the most enduring works ever created for the musical theatre. Featuring such notable songs as 'Superstar,' 'Everything's Alright' and 'I Don't Know How to Love Him,' JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR earned five Tony nominations.

The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) is pleased to stage the New England premiere of Grace, a stimulating, frank and moving examination of the conflict between science and faith through the lens of a contemporary family. Written by Irish playwright and director Mick Gordon and University of London philosophy professor A.C. Grayling, and directed by Gamm Artistic Director Tony Estrella, Grace features Gamm Resident Actors Wendy Overly, Jim O'Brien and Karen Carpenter, as well as newcomer Kyle Blanchette.

The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) invites arts supporters and the general public to The Scarlet Affair. This red- and romantically themed party, chock full of irreverent entertainment, with a splash of sophistication, marks the non-profit theater's seventh annual fundraising event. The Scarlet Affair will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 7-10 p.m. at the historic Pawtucket Armory, 172 Exchange St. Tickets are $125 per person, including an open bar, complimentary raffle ticket and more; or $40 per person, including a cash bar. TRINITY REP Announces Its 2009-2010 Season

Trinity Rep is proud to announce that its 2009-2010 season will start with a bang: Cabaret will kick off what promises to be a lively year of love and levity at Trinity Rep. The scintillating musical written by Joe Masteroff with music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb will be followed by the touching romantic comedy Shooting Star by Steven Dietz (October-November); the classic hijinks of William Shakespeare?s Twelfth Night (will also be the focus of Project Discovery Plus educational slot) (January-February); MacArthur Fellow Sarah Ruhl?s quirky look at modern connections, Dead Man?s Cell Phone (February-March); Neil Simon?s inimitable touchstone of American comedy, The Odd Couple (April-May); and Pamela Gien?s lyrical and haunting drama, The Syringa Tree (April-May). The unified curtain time of 7:30 PM for all evening performances will continue in addition to 2 PM matinees. A Christmas Carol will follow this schedule with the exception of Sundays, when performances will occur at noon and 5 PM.

On March 7th go down to the Courthouse Center For The Arts from 12 to 10pm for the 2nd Annual Celtic Festival. Join them for live music, step dancing by the Damhsa and Meghan Kelly Dance studios, bagpipers, one act plays, and comedians. There will also be an Irish Soda Bread contest; the winner will receive 4 tickets to the Rhode Island premiere of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Patrick?s Pub will be selling corned beef sandwiches, vendors will be selling traditional Celtic wares, and beer will be provided by Narragansett Beer. At 9pm they will be holding an open session for anyone who would like to participate bring your fiddle, guitar, voice, and have a jam session with fellow musicians.

PPAC President J.L. 'Lynn' Singleton and Chairman of the PPAC Board of Trustees Joseph W. Walsh, Esq. were formally recognized for PPAC's outstanding support of military members through their 'Seats for Service Members' programs by the Rhode Island National Guard on February 11, 2009 at the Rhode Island National Guard Headquarters in Cranston. Sue Stenhouse, Director of Community Relations, Office of the Governor, was also honored.

Following his release of the New York Times #1 bestselling book When You Are Engulfed in Flames, author David Sedaris will visit Providence for an evening of engaging recollections and readings. Sedaris, author of the previous bestsellers Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, and Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, and regular National Public Radio contributor, will be appearing for one-night only at the Providence Performing Arts Center. Mr. Sedaris will also be holding a book-signing at 6:30P at PPAC before his show.
