The Tiffany Box, a love remembered opens this Thursday, November 4th at the Theatre Artist Studio in Phoenix. Kathleen Buckstaff used to work as a humor columnist for The Los Angeles Times and The Arizona Republic.
When her mother was diagnosed with cancer, Kathleen stopped writing the column and started
writing emails to a few friends. Two years ago, a friend of Kathleen's gave her back the emails Kathleen wrote during the last two years of her mother's life.
Kathleen has used some of her columns, these emails (and some others she subsequently found) to create a play called, "The Tiffany Box, a love remembered." This play opens this week at The Theatre Artist Studio in Phoenix and Kathleen will be sharing her story as a one-woman show.
Because the emails are written to dear friends, the voice is raw and honest and captures a view into the private journey of losing a loved one to cancer that otherwise would have been lost.
For more information, please see www.thestuiophx.org or call 602-765-0120. The show opens on Thursday, November 4th and runs through the 14th. There will be 8 performances. Evening performances begin at 7:30 and the theatre is located just west of Tatum off of Cactus in Phoenix, Arizona.
