Ben Cameron's long-running, award-winning, musical theatre variety series, Broadway Sessions, returned last month and welcomed back a starry roster of Broadway's brightest to perform their favorite holiday tunes, play games with the audience and celebrate the season.

We just had a BLAST this past Thursday at Broadway Sessions during our All-Star Open Mic Party! Along with guest host, Anthony Fett, and our incredible Open-Mic singers, we were joined by guest performers Carly Sakolove, Giuseppe Bausillio, Zurin Villanueva, Joel Waggoner, Lauren Elder, Josh Walker, Vishal Vaidya, Josh Bardier, Paul HeeSang Miller and Tim Young! Our fierce Open Mic-ers had a song in our heart, and we are so thrilled that they joined us and helped make it a night to remember! 

Broadway Sessions partied like it was 1999 recently as we welcomed the cast of The New Group production of Clueless, The Musical. Cast members took the stage to perform their favorite 90's jams, tapping into the song book of Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Cher, Christina, Britney and even Hanson. Enjoy highlights from performances by Zurin Villanueva, Katie Goffman, Justin Mortelliti, L'ogan J'ones, Jeff Kuhr, Talya Groves, Brett Thiele and more. Plus special performances by our Rising Star, 16 year old Fiona Scott.

The Holiday Stars shown bright this last week as Broadway Sessions presented it's annual All Star Holiday Show! Broadway vets and newcomers alike shared their favorite "holiday" tunes and nearly blew the garland off the tree with the power of their voices. The New Group is currently presenting Clueless, the Musical by Amy Heckerling in a world premiere production with choreography by Kelly Devine, directed by Kristin Hanggi. The show officially opened last night, December 11, and BroadwayWorld is taking you inside the big night below!

Performances began November 20 in advance of an Official Opening Night on Tuesday, December 11. A limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through January 12 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street).

The 2004 film "Mean Girls" was written by Tina Fey. Now a Broadway musical version of the film has earned a whopping 12 Tony nominations. Fey tells TODAY that she was at the gym when she got the news, and "I started crying in the middle of Equinox." More on this story here.

Continuing TODAY's 'Best of Broadway' week, Tina Fey is live on the TODAY plaza to introduce a performance by the cast of her Broadway musical 'Mean Girls,' which has received a dozen Tony nominations. Watch them perform a song from the show, 'Apex Predator.'
