Starring Heather Headley as Rachel Marron and Lloyd Owen as Frank Farmer in the roles made famous on film by the late Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, tickets for THE BODYGUARD went on sale on May 1, taking bookings until 27 April 2013 for the production's first booking period. Previews begin on 6 November 2012, twenty years after the release of the Oscar nominated film. Opening night is 5 December.

SPARKLE is set to be released in theaters on August 24th by Sony Pictures. The project marks the final film by the late, legendary singer and actress Whitney Houston. Houston died in February in her hotel room in Beverly Hills. Her death was ruled an accidental drowning. A trailer for the film debuted on this morning's TODAY show.

On last night's episode of AMERICAN IDOL on Fox, the top 13 contestants battled it out to remain in the competition. In honor of the show's 400th episode, the producers decided to throw in a twist at this point in the competition. The guys (who sang Stevie Wonder songs) competed against the girls (paying tribute to the late, great Whitney Houston).
