Highland Park Players presents the Tony Award nominee musical, School of Rock, based on the 2003 Jack Black movie of the same name. School of Rock runs November 11th through November 20th at the Northbrook Theatre. Check out a first look video below!

Today we rewind to 2015, when the La Jolla Playhouse production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame transferred to Paper Mill Playhouse. Featuring a score by Alan Menken and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, the production was directed by Scott Schwartz and starred Michael Arden, Patrick Page, Ciara Renée, Andrew Samonsky and Erik Liberman.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, in July, Bay Street Theater and DreamWorks Theatricals canceled plans for a premiere concert reading of the new stage adaptation of The Prince of Egypt, book by Philip LaZebnik (writer of Mulan, Pocahontas) and music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (composer of Wicked, Pippin, Godspell) after controversy arose about the reading's predominantly white company. Now the show will have its world premiere collaboration between TheatreWorks Silicon Valley and Denmark's Fredericia Teater, directed by Scott Schwartz.
