Last night, October 11, Broadway's Tony Award-winning hit musical CHICAGO and Givenik.com presented a special performance and post-show reception to benefit the four favorite charities of current leading-lady Kara DioGuardi -- Phoenix House (phoenixhouse.org), Columbus Citizens Foundation (columbuscitizensfd.org), Malaria No More (malarianomore.org) and Sister Domingas and Friends Foundation (sisterdomingas.org).

VOCA PEOPLE (www.VocaPeopleNYC.com), the new musical currently performing at The Westside Theatre (407 W. 43rd Street, Upstairs), just performed at the 2011 Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Telethon airing live at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas.

This fall, Kara DioGuardi, Grammy nominated songwriter and star of 'American Idol' and Bravo's 'Platinum Hit', will make her Broadway stage debut as merry murderess Roxie Hart in the Tony Award-winning hit musical CHICAGO for an eight-week limited engagement, Monday, September 5 through Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Ambassador Theatre.
