Tacoma Little Theatre will welcome the fall season with Stephen King's Misery.  King's prize-winning novel and award-winning film have been newly adapted by William Goldman for the stage. This production is directed by Chris Serface. Get more information about the production here!

Duluth Playhouse Underground will present MISERY, William Goldman's stage adaptation of Stephen King's gripping, psychological thriller, running October 12 - 28, 2023. Despite not having opened yet, Misery has already garnered such high demand that its initial two-week run has been extended to three weeks due to sold-out performances.

Misery written by the incomparable “Master of Horror” Stephen King was first released via Viking Press on June 8, 1987. The story revolves around the main character, romance novelist Paul Sheldon, and his self-proclaimed number-one fan Annie Wilkes. Paul is seriously injured in a car crash, and Annie being a former nurse discovers Paul and brings him home for rehabilitation. While staying in Annie’s home, Paul receives treatment and pain meds and soon discovers he is prisoner and forced to adhere to all of his captor’s demands.

Jefferson Performing Arts Society is presenting two back-to-back shows based on novels by two of the most famous writers of crime and horror:  Agatha Christie and Stephen King.
