WICKED, the West End stage musical phenomenon that tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz, has become the ninth longest-running production in West End history, following the completion of Saturday's matinee performance.
The Broadway blockbuster Wicked will return to the Providence Performing Arts Center from March 4–22, 2026, as part of the Taco and The White Family Foundation Broadway Series.

It ran for 15 years and was the longest-running Broadway show when it closed on April 28, 1990, playing 6,137 performances—and has continued to span the globe for decades. Just last month, the National Asian Artists Project (NAAP) held its 2025 Gala Benefit celebrating the 50th Anniversary of A Chorus Line and honoring the role of “Connie Wong,” directed by the original “Connie Wong” Baayork Lee.
