Artistic Director Rupert Goold today announces the Almeida Theatre's new season.

Dale Soules (Orange Is The New Black, Hands On A Hardbody) will step into a reading of Michael Raver's new political drama, Evening. Bedlam Artistic Director Eric Tucker will direct the reading on September 24th in New York. Soules replaces the previously announced Roberta Maxwell.

Invictus Theatre, a theater company that emerged in November 2017 with an intimate production of OTHELLO, has announced cast and crew for its second production: Shakespeare's comedy LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST. The comedy will be performed at The Frontier, 1106 W. Thorndale Ave., Chicago from October 24 - November 18, 2018, with a press opening on Monday, October 29.

The Incident is an award-winning theatrical performance written by Swedish playwright Joakim Daun, which asks whether love can keep two people together when the stakes are raised and tackles belonging, migration, racism and power through an intimate love story spanning Sweden and Zimbabwe.

Georgian pianist Nicolas Namoradze (age 26) has been named Prize Laureate of the 2018 Honens International Piano Competition. He wins the world's largest prize for piano $100,000 (CAD) and an Artist Development Program valued at a half-million dollars. Finalists Han Chen (Taiwan / age 26) and Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner (United States / age 21) each received Raeburn Prizes of $10,000 (CAD), and for the first time in Honens' history an Audience Award of $5,000 (CAD) was presented to Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner.

Madeleine Potter and Donald Sage Mackay complete the cast for the forthcoming West End Premiere of Pulitzer Prize-winner Sam Shepard's ferociously funny, modern classic, True West. They will join the previously announced Kit Harington - renowned for his leading role in the internationally acclaimed series Game of Thrones - and Johnny Flynn - star of the widely celebrated film Beast and US TV series Genius, and who received rave reviews for his performance in the New York transfer of Hangmen, in the first UK production of Shepard's work since his death last summer. True West will play a limited season at the Vaudeville Theatre from Friday 23 November - Saturday 16 February (Press Night: Tuesday 4 December at 7:00pm).

Broadway legend Norm Lewis will receive an honorary doctorate on September 6th at Five Towns College on Long Island.

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, presents the World Premiere of Witch, written by Jen Silverman, inspired by The Witch of Edmonton by Rowley, Dekker & Ford. The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) today announces the appointment of Simon Godwin as its next Artistic Director. Godwin, currently the Associate Director at the National Theatre of Great Britain (NT), previously served as Associate Director of London's Royal Court Theatre and Associate Director at the Bristol Old Vic in the United Kingdom. He will succeed Michael Kahn, who has been at the helm of STC since 1986.

Final casting for Berkeley Repertory Theatre's upcoming production of Fairview was announced today. Written by Jackie Sibblies Drury, directed bySarah Benson, with choreography by Raja Feather Kelly, the world premiere production comes straight to Berkeley Rep from a critically acclaimed New York run. Previews begin on Thursday, October 4 with regular run of the show opening on Thursday, October 11 and continuing through Sunday, November 4.
