NBC has given out pilot orders to two drama projects, “Bluff City Law' and 'Prism,' according to Variety. Both orders are for the 2019-2020 season.

NBC announced on Friday that they have cancelled Midnight, Texas and Marlon, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

NBC has released the first 5 minutes of season 6 of NBC's hit drama, “The Blacklist,” which feature James Spader's Raymond “Red” Reddington commandeering a bank heist in progress as only he can.  

Comedy Central announced today it has acquired all seven seasons of the Peabody Award-winning and Emmy-nominated Universal Television series Parks and Recreation, which will make its Comedy Central debut with an all-day marathon on January 21 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day). Select episodes will be available to stream on cc.com and the CC App.

On the heels of announcing Meredith Ahr as President of NBC's Alternative and Reality Group, the division is solidifying its executive leadership team with a trio of promotions and a key new hire, all at the Executive Vice President level.

Amy Poehler has landed rights to author Rebecca Makkai's best-seller The Great Believers, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Her goal is to adapt the novel for television via her Universal Television-based Paper Kite Productions banner.

According to Deadline, actress Coral Peña is set to join NBC's new series THE ENEMY WITHIN. She is set to star opposite Morris Chestnut and Jennifer Carpenter. Peña is known for her work on 24: LEGACY. Read more about the news from Deadline here! 

Scott Chaloff has joined Seller Suarez Productions as Head of Development for Television and Film. In his new position, Chaloff will develop new material for Seller Suarez's first look deal at Universal Television and build out a feature slate.

NBC has announced the inaugural class for its landmark Alternative Directors Program, the industry's first directing pipeline program for unscripted shows. With the new initiative, NBC takes a step toward equal representation behind the scenes on alternative series – an unserved part of the industry when it comes to inclusion efforts, despite the prevalence of unscripted shows on TV. The program gives experienced female and ethnically diverse directors access to expand their repertoire of alternative formats and complex directing styles with the ultimate goal of opening the door to future projects.

CBS Studios International and Sky in the U.K. today announced a new, expanded licensing agreement for CBS programming, including the new fall drama FBI, along with some of the most successful U.S. series on Sky: HAWAII FIVE-0, ELEMENTARY and MADAM SECRETARY.

NBC has announced a full line-up of special celebrity guests appearing in 'A Legendary Christmas with John and Chrissy,' an hourlong holiday special airing Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 10-11 p.m.; repeat Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 10 p.m.

CBS is developing a revival of “Northern Exposure,” according to Variety.

With postseason football right around the corner, CBS has announced the lineup of late night and primetime shows that will receive big promotional platforms following both the AFC Championship game on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019 and SUPER BOWL LIII two weeks later on Sunday, Feb. 3.
