A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2, written by Lucas Hnath, took Broadway by storm when it opened in 2017.  This "explosively funny new play" (The Hollywood Reporter) is the comedic follow-up to Ibsen's classic dramatic masterpiece. Philadelphia audiences will be able to experience A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2 as the Arden Theatre Company presents the regional premiere of Hnath's smashing new play.  Performances are underway now through December 9 at the Arden's Arcadia Stage.

Have you lived with someone who is your polar opposite, yet they have brought something out in you that you didn't know was there? Jen Silverman's play The Roommate, running at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park now through October 21 tells a similar story.

Sharon, a recently divorced homemaker from Iowa, needs a roommate. Robyn, a slam poet from New York, needs a chance to start over. When they find each other through a roommate listing, hilarity (and some illegal activity) ensues. Beginning Sept. 21, Shelterhouse audiences can come along for the ride in THE ROOMMATE and watch two empty-nesters navigate the rocky roads of change. The play runs through Oct. 21 (Opening Night is Sept. 27.).

TheaterWorks - Rob Ruggiero, Producing Artistic Director announced today that TheaterWorks will present HAND TO GOD by Robert Askins as the fifth and final show of the 2017-2018 Season. Directed by Tracy Brigden, the Broadway smash hit and Tony Award nominated play begins previews July 20 and runs through August 26, 2018.

Artistic Director Blake Robison announced Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's 2018-2019 season today, which features blockbuster musicals, contemporary comedies, world premieres and some of theatre's leading playwrights and directors.

The boy-meets-girl story gets a facelift in Heisenberg, a new romantic comedy by contemporary British playwright Simon Stephens. This Pittsburgh premiere will be directed by Tracy Brigden (Disgraced, The Price at The Public). The Playwrights' Center's annual PlayLabs new play festival runs Monday, October 23, through Sunday, October 29, 2017. The featured playwrights are Jason Gray Platt ('Take Care'), Jen Silverman ('In the Time of the Volcano') and Alice Tuan ('A Humbling in St. Paul'), all Core Writers at the Center.

Of the 70+ new plays developed at the Playwrights' Center each year, eight are selected to be part of the public season, giving playwrights expanded workshop time with collaborators and the chance to see their new work on its feet in front of two different audiences. These readings are free to attend and take place at the Playwrights' Center, located at 2301 E Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis.
