Arena Stage has announced its 74th season. The upcoming subscription season will feature two original musicals, an acclaimed play with music, an uproarious comedy, Arena’s 11th Power Play, and a return by audience-favorite Step Afrika!.

The 2023 list of Moon River performers includes Hozier, Caamp, Goodbye Road (Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors and JOHNNYSWIM), Nickle Creek, Marcus King Band, Judah & the Lion, First Aid Kit, Noah Cyrus, Larry Fleet, Houndmouth, Larkin Poe, Shane Smith & The Saints, Wilder Woods, Aoife O’Donovan, and more.

Produced by Dan Molad (of Lucius, Coco) You Must Change Your Life comprises a makeshift orchestra—an instrumental array bewildering on paper but perfectly intuitive to the ears—everything from electric guitar and bass clarinet duets to the large-bodied Mexican huapanguera; tubular bells a la Pet Sounds to Jagger-esque heavy breathing.

Celebrated singer/songwriter Iris DeMent releases the hopeful track “The Sacred Now” from her long-awaited upcoming album Workin’ On A World. Written with Pieta Brown, “The Sacred Now” shares that we are all in this life together, no matter what divides us. In addition, DeMent releases a remixed version of her 2020 song “How Long” as well.

Cincinnati-based alternative rock quartet The Heavy Hours celebrate the release of their new self-titled album via BMG. The album was recorded in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York and produced by Simone Felice (The Lumineers, Matt Maeson, The Avett Brothers) and David Baron. 

The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) President and CEO, J.L. “Lynn” Singleton has announced that PPAC has once again earned recognition as a top ten theatre in the United States. In VenuesNow's recently released 2022 year-end national ranking for sales and attendances,  PPAC was ranked #10. 

MerleFest, presented by Window World, has just added another huge list of performers to its already stacked 2023 lineup—which featured headliners like The Avett Brothers and Maren Morris.

Kings Theatre will present a dynamic slate of shows this November in Brooklyn, NY.

MCC Theater will produce a four-week development workshop of a new musical, Hearts Beat Loud, to be presented on February 9 & 10, 2023. Hearts Beat Loud is based on the inspiring 2018 indie film set in Red Hook (starring Nick Offerman and Toni Collette).

THE AVETT BROTHERS will perform at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) in Providence, RI on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 7:30P.  It has been five years since they played in Rhode Island. 

Recorded live to tape in Nashville with some of the city’s biggest names—the aforementioned Gill, David Rawlings, Stuart Duncan, and Dennis Crouch—Schneider’s inaugural record is a testament to tradition, timelessness, and the modern relevance of old ways. As a whole, the record is a testament to the necessity of looking at the past.

Millennium Stage will offer free live community performances, streamed live, plus online programs and film screenings, Wednesday–Saturday each week throughout their campus.

Master Songwriters in Concert will be presented by B² Realty on November 19 at 7:30 pm. This intimate concert showcasing 4 local, gifted songwriters taking turns telling the stories behind their songs and then performing them for the audience.

The Beach Road Weekend Music Festival presented by The Black Dog will kick off one day early with a special free concert and showing of the island favorite JAWS.

Clem Snide (moniker of Nashville singer-songwriter Eef Barzelay) released “Song For Mike,” the 5th episode of his new podcast series, A Life In Song, distributed by acclaimed studio Double Elvis (Disgraceland, Badlands). Mike is living aimlessly until, on a whim, he joins the U.S. Navy. Along the way he gets a surprise haircut and a new personality.

Regina Spektor is debuting the track “Loveology,” a much beloved and previously unreleased song which will be featured on her forthcoming album, Home, before and after. Ahead of her sold out five-night Broadway residency in 2019, Spektor debuted the song on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” Plus, check out upcoming tour dates!

Project Admission has acquired privately held SplitSeason Tickets, a web-based platform that gives professional sport teams and their season ticket holders a way to find new ticket partners and the ability to quickly and easily share and distribute their tickets.

Beach Road Weekend Presented by Black Dog has revealed the local musicians that will join the more than two dozen national touring acts performing live on Martha's Vineyard August 26-28, 2022. Vineyard based bands Workman Song, Rose Guerin and Mike Benjamin Band will all perform during the three-day music festival.
