Winter is always a dark time for Broadway... literally. A whopping 16 shows will close for good in the next two months... but this isn't such a surprise.
Swept Away will play its final performance on December 15, 2024. The musical, with music and lyrics by The Avett Brothers, will have played 32 regular performances and 20 previews at the time of its closing.
Tthe music of folk rock group The Avett Brothers is getting a Broadway makeover. A cast recording for Swept Away, which opened on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre just last month, is set to be released in early 2025.
