Placer Rep has announced the cast for Sherlock Holmes: The Speckled Band! A fantastic cast of actors have been assembled to quickly immerse audiences in the intrigue of a mysterious death and a dramatic coroner’s inquest at the top of act one of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Speckled Band, performing May 3 and 4 by Placer Repertory Theater.

Between pre-booked guests and the open stage, Placer Rep's Collaboration LAB will serve up a variety of artistic, creative, and cultural offerings at its FREE show/event the fourth Sunday of each month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Cool River Pizza and Taphouse on the Rocklin/Roseville border.

H.M. Milner’s celebrated 1826 melodrama Frankenstein or The Man and The Monster is being performed by Placer Repertory Theater February 16 through 24 in Rocklin, CA.

Comedians Shannon Battle & Benjamin Warheit headline the final 2023 Collaboration LAB at Placer Repertory Theater. Join them and other regional favorites for a night of comedy, networking, and creativity on October 22 at Cool River Pizza & Taphouse.

Due to a sudden cast-member schedule conflict, Placer Repertory Theater Producing Artistic Director, Teresa Stirling Forsyth, steps into the role of MME Voynitskaya, mother of the title character in Anton Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya: Scenes from a Country Life, presented publicly September 8 and 9 as the Placer Rep 2023-2024 season opener, which includes love triangles, dysfunctional family strife, a mid-life crisis and too much vodka, to mix the perfect tragicomic cocktail. 

Comedic love triangles, a mid-life crisis and dysfunctional family strife are key ingredients that serve up Placer Repertory Theater’s performance of Anton Chekhov’s tragicomedy, Uncle Vanya: Scenes from a Country Life, presented publicly September 8 and 9 as the Placer Rep 2023-2024 season opener.

Solomon Bassoff of Faducci will headline at Placer Rep's May 28 Collaboration LAB, joined by musicians, writers, comedians, designers and open stage performers and presenters, held in the event room at Cool River Pizza & Taphouse in Rocklin.

Straight from the Spring Intersession, scoring 90-100% with students and parents on all evaluation areas, Placer Repertory Theater and the Colfax Elementary School District are currently offering registration for the Placer Rep VAPA Academy Summer Program, which runs May 30 through June 30 in Colfax, California.

Due in no small part to the scholastic vision and creativity of Superintendent Andrew Giannini and the Colfax Elementary School District, Placer Rep is excited to announce the establishment of the Placer Repertory Theater VAPA Academy of Colfax, a pilot program developed for grades K-8. 

Enjoy a taphouse beer or glass of wine along with the performances and presentations of area creatives at Collaboration LAB's new venue for March through October 2023 at the Cool River Pizza & Taphouse event room.

In honor of Black History and National Awareness month, Collaboration LAB will feature the neo-expressionist artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, what inspired his art and the continuing relevance of his work, as we also share works from local creatives on February 26 at Tamraloo Studios in Lincoln, CA. Also included will be a drawing for $100 worth of prizes from local businesses of those who register via Eventbrite.com and attend Collaboration LAB. 

The Divine Spark is the theme explored at Placer Repertory Theater’s first Collaboration LAB of 2023 on January 29 in the Tamraloo Studio E black box in Lincoln, CA.

In keeping with the generous spirit of the season, local businesses are stepping up to support Placer Repertory Theater by donating funds to the Annual Winter Fundraiser for Season 2023, or donating prizes for Placer Rep’s Annual Holiday Party / variety show.

It is said a home is built with love and dreams and never has that phrase been truer, as Placer Repertory Theater’s rise in popularity and programming now propels Placer Rep to seek a home facility for Season 2023 and beyond. 

Actors, singers, comedians, writers and more will take the stage on December 7 at  Placer Repertory Theater's annual variety show with open mic that celebrates the  completion of Season 2022 on Wednesday, December 7th at Studio E in Lincoln.
